poll: who's better? maxfield vs. varkonyi.

Okay...who is better?Paul Maxfield played like an absolute idiot in the WPT Championship....and Robert Varkonyi kept winning coin flips for huge chip stacks with QTo....Who played better on TV? (We really don't know how good or bad they play in real life...although I think we might have a good idea...)

My impression of Paul Maxfield was that he played very well and got lucky when he needed to. Everyone sucked out multiple times at that final table (except Phil Ivey who is busy scratching the letters W, P, T, A, and Q off every keyboard in his house). Everyone here who considers themselves a proficient player has gotten lucky and sucked out. As TJ says..."That's Poker". I just love the ultimate justice of Danny Nguyen being the only Season 3 champion *not* to make it past Day One of the WPT Championship. Laughed my ass off when I heard that. Captain Suckout.

If we say Maxfield, will you start a Paul Maxfield fan club?
He hasn't won anything...so it would be a joke fan club...Varkonyi on the other hand is a WORLD CHAMPION.....(sw)

Alf, that ax your grinding against Varkonyi isn't sharp yet? Good god you dislike that guy. Once again, I do think he was lucky, but no talent at all? Don't you have to some skill to win the ME?

Yes, you do need some skill. You need the skill and coordination to push all your chips in the pot and hope to get lucky.

Zimm, I thought you didn't like my immature posts and I'm pompous. You responded to one of my "serious" posts. Does this mean you like me? I thought we were ignoring each other. How was golf today? What'd ya shoot buddy?

This is such a simple question...http://pokerdb.thehendonmob.com/player.php?a=r&n=469Look at Varkonyi's record...unlike Maxfield he doesn't have any of those stupid 2nds or dare I say 16th finishes. Varkonyi is a true world champion, and dare I say the best of all time!!!!
LOL......but you also didn't read the question.
LOL question in the post and question in the poll are different.

That's why you read the post...I didn't realize that I had to repeat the same question twice....Usually the poll question is a summary of the post....
