DrunkAces 0
Anybody have any quick ways of calculating odds? I thought I heard of one way that said something like......post flop - outs times 4, post turn - outs times 2 plus 2?
zimmer4141 0
Usually, when I figure out my odds with one card to come, I take the number of outs I have times 2.5. That gives you a rough estimate of odds.
Socrates 0
On the flop:1-8 outs: multiply by 49-12 outs: multiply by 4 and subtract 113-16 outs: multiply by 4 and subtract 4basically6 outs = 24%10 outs = 39%15 outs = 56%After the turn, multiply your outs by 2 and add 2These numbers are not exact, but they are within %
Royal_Tour 0
u take your two cards,10 - K is worth 10, and Ace is 11, or 1 for the bicycle you multilply them by 1,389 ,450 (every possible hand made with 5 cards out of 7).then you divide that by the number of available cards left in the deck, then you ride a donkey to El Paso. Ask the old blind lady on the corner if the chickens have large talons,When she replies Yes, you have 7 out or less. when she replies No. you have 8 outs or more.

Dixie Wrecked 0
The one the OP mentioned works well. After the flop multiply outs X 4; after the turn multiply outs X 2 for the river. these numbers give you percentages. In order to convert percentages to odds divide 100 by percentage then subtract 1 100/% - 1 = odds example: Say you have an open ended straight draw, 8 outs after the flop: 8 x 4 = 32% chance to hit by river; 100/32 aprox. = 3; 3-1=2 2:1 dog to catch straight by river. These numbers are all approximate but work well for all intents and purposes.
