ever hit an incredible rush of cards lose?

Recommended Posts

I just hit the sickest rush of cards in the last 30 minutes. AA, KK twice, Ak twice, AQ, and AJ. I proceed to practically lose with all of them. The only time I won was with KK, when everyone folded to a preflop raise. This is simutaneously my best rush and my quickest losing session.

Rofl update. I just hit AK another two times and lost to JJ and AQ who hit the flush.I also had a pair of AA which thankfully stood up. I'm playing 3 tables at the same time if this seems to be a lot of hands in a short time. Net profit from the best rush of cards ever = -18 dollars.

This happens every once in a while. You just need to be sure you dont go on tilt and massively overplay hands (like AA or KK) and lose way more money than you should. When your probably behind and you find yourself saying, "I'm capping because eventually one of these hands has to hit," its time to take a break.Just today, over the course of two hours, I had about a 25 BB downswing due to my premium hands actually hitting the flop and gettign sucked out on. I lost 3 times with TP and a good kicker (K or Q kicker) and lost 3 times when I flopped a set. The streak was finally broken when in the big blind with Q3 offsuit I flop quad Queens. The poker gods have a strange sense of humor.

Clearly, you aren't on a rush since you're not catching too many cards flop/post flop.Today I had two consecutive hands at a 5-handed LHE table as follows. In the first hand I raised with AK offsuit UTG and got two callers. Flop came AAK. I slowplayed it (of course) and my opponents bet into me. Took down a 14 bb pot.Next hand I get 64 suited in the BB. No raise, so I check. Flop came 446. I check, UTG bets, everyone else folds, I call. I checkraise on turn and bet out on the river (he calls). Two hands in a row I flop a boat - never happened to me before. I was +13BB on those two hands and broke even on the rest of my hands at that table.

Well the hands have slowed down a bit, and thankfully I have made some recovery. On another exciting note, I just hit my first royal ever with AQ of clubs. Had the nut flush draw and rivered one blessed card to make the mortal nuts. Awesome feeling.

That is nothing......Last year I moved up a level for a brief time (to 15/30) and in 4 consecutive hands caught AA, QQ, KK, AA.......I lost all of them and I hit top set with the first two (AAA lost to flush on river) (QQQ lost to another guy that floped a straight Q high) The other two I lost to two pair....and in all of them...my opponent called three bets preflop with crap....I will never forget that sequence....

But this will come as no surprise to anyone who plays a great deal. And this is a true story. 2 weeks ago, in the span of just 20 minutes, I hit 3 incredible hands, but when it was over I was minus $450!No details but it all started with hitting my first ever Royal Flush (which got no action). A few hands later came a straight flush (again, no callers). 3 hands later came four 9's, only to get rivered by four 10's!Ohhhh MOMMY! MILLER TIME!!!!(At least the Casino gave me $50 for the Royal. Whoop-de-friggin-do!)

Back to back hands in a MTT this weekend...AA - I'm in mid position, raise preflop, no callers, win the blinds - Next hand - KK - lose to a set of 8's and am pretty much out of the tourney... :x I'm to the point now where I get a premium hand and assume I'm going to lose...give me the Krablar anyday!
