I had 140,000 chips in first with 2nd place down at 100,000. I pick up KK on the button. Blinds are 2000/4000 with a 400 chip ante. Two people limp, I make it 12,000 to go. Mercenary, in the small blind, makes it 51065 immediately. Folds around to me, I push the rest of his stack in, he calls. I have k-k, he has q-q. If you don’t know that him winning this hand is a horrible outdraw, nothing I am going to type here will help convince you. It was ok though, after the hand I was still in 3rd with 80,000 chips, although I should have been at 215,000 or so.Very next hand I pick up 7-7. People are playing generally tight, and I have no problem stealing the blinds like I have been doing. I made a small raise and got a small raise shot back at me by hehateme. I have been playing with hehateme for over 5 hours at this point. He is a bad player and fears getting outplayed it seems, anytime he picks up any kind of hand he just moves all in no matter the pot size hoping for a caller. It is obvious to me he doesn’t have a-a through 10-10 or even a-k or a-q. I figure he might have a-shit kicker so I go ahead and reraise him, figuring he will either fold or call me with a hand like a-j. He called. I put him on A-J. Flop comes great for me. No big cards, and even if I was wrong and he had an overpair, I had some outs here with the open ended straight draw. Him betting out the minimum here into the raiser is a terrible move. He had to have known he didn’t have me beat and was making a misguided stab at the pot. If he was trying to take it down, he should have bet out at least 20,000. I reraise him my last 40,000(ish) chips expecting him to lay down the a-j I was fairly certain he had. He took a long time and then made the terrible call. He had 6 outs and caught one. Nothing I can do. From first to out in 2 hands and out the 6,200 first prize.

I'd respond, but I'm not that good, so instead I'll tell you that you should probably repost this in the strategy section, as it would get more responses there.

Well, you played the first hand fine, but so did your opponent.. You were just the unlucky one.The second hand i think you played the preflop too agressive. Your opponents very small re-raise should have showed you that your opponents hand has some sort of potential, and that he was atleast holding 2 overcards. The play after the flop was okay, Re-rasing was the right move, but did it have to be your entire stack?
