Whalers2005 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 I got banned from a local tourny. $10 buy in..about 150 people show up. First place usually pays 1k. Well I won 3 times in a row. I show up for the 4th and they say I can't play. Now this is the funny part...they say I cheat. How you ask? I'm "psychic". jasonmason 0 Posted June 23, 2005 Share Posted June 23, 2005 Tell them you'd be in Vegas if you were psychic.There's nothing wrong with mathematicians using their career to their advantage, so if you have a job that helps you pick off reads on people better, there's no reason you shouldn't be allowed to use that to your advantage.Seems like they don't want you playing because you win too often. There are all kinds of things that people buy or pay for that doesn't really work, but I say it's up to the consumer on this type of thing. If you are someone that actually buys into this sort of thing, then you are being provided with the service that you wanted. I'm not saying that it's not the most idiotic career possible, because it probably is, but the fact is that people still create a market for it. Let the buyer beware.
