Why does he call my bluff?

Recommended Posts

Hi guys,

I'd like your advise on this one.

Playing an online MTT for 150K prize money (total), 7K first spot.

We're in the money, bb=20K, I have about 400K and villain is bigger with about 800K.

I bet 2,5 bb from mp with JTs, villain calls on the button, pot is about 105K, we're heads up, Flop is 95A rainbow.

villain bets 35K, I call thinking he doesn't have A. Turn comes 5, check check, still rainbow.

River comes 9, we now have A9955 on the board. I bet pot 180K, or about 60% of my stack, villain finally calls with AK.

In my opinion, with the way I played this I could have very well had a 9 here (T9s, J9s, K9s, Q9s, A9s), which would give me at least trips or maybe even full house.

Would you have called this bluff?

If so, why? Should I have gone all-in?

Thanks for your reactions!
