Well i play on Pokerstars play money tables. In the past two days i hit four eights twice!!First time i had pocket ace 8 :D The flop comes K :club: 3 :) and 8 :D . Opp. 1 raises ten, Opp 2 re-raises 20. I call the 30. The turn comes 8 :D . I raise 250, and they both call. The river comes 8 :) and i almost fall of my chair. So i raise 1000, and they both called!! so i won a pot of 5000.The second time i got pocket eights. Flop comes K,9,8 i raise 30. The turn comes 8 again. I go all-in 1000. They call me, and i win the pot again.Anyone else experience tis kind of luck, and should i have gone all-in(3000) the first time?

Unfortunately play money games are an absolute joke the vast majority of the time. While intended to help broke people play and new players learn, most people who play on them treat it like a joke and play idiotic poker. No one benefits from this all in and call fest So even if you practice good poker strategy you will probably end up with a headache. In my opinion its much better to learn playing at the penny and nickel tables. While they tend to be a bit bizarre as well, people tend to take it a little more seriously when there is at least some money involved. Either way its a good way to learn and play a lot of hands.

Completely unrelatedBut;I was playing in the 2/6 game at the excalibur with 2golfers. One had a sidebet with the other that hed fold pocket aces that night but inorder that the other guy new he had them he'd have to be heads up in the hand and fold face up.Anyway flop comes AAK and the flop is 4 betted and turn is 3 betted before 3rd player involved folds. The guy then folded face up and sacraficed a $150 pot to win a $100 side bet!!Suppose a bet is a bet!!

Strangely enough, I have had that kind of luck lately. I hit Quad Aces in a live tourney on sunday night, then, in a home live SnG on tuesday night, I hit quad 4's.first hand, I had AKo. raised preflop, one caller. flop comes AA6, I check, he checks. turn, A. I check, he checks. River 6. I bet, he folds.Second hand, pocket 4's. Flop comes 864, 3 diamonds. I check, he makes a moderately sized bet (this guy bets every flop, kinda funny actually), I call. Turn comes a 4th diamond. I bet, trying to represent a high diamond, he calls. River, 4. I check, he bets, I raise, he calls with.... A high, no diamond, heh.
