DanielNegreanu 141
Most likely call ups in 2019-20. As of now will need to call up 3: 1. F Jonathan Dahlen, VAN. 0.50 (Dream scenario is he is on Elias Pettersson's wing) 2. F Filip Zadina, DET. 3.00 (Dangerous to call up early, but hopeful he is ready) 3. F Jaret Anderson-Dolan, LAK. 2.00 (Made team out of camp last year, LA needs youth and speed) 4. F Vitali Abramov, CLB. 1.00 (Struggling in the minors, could be room if Panarin is moved) 5. D Connor Hobbs, WAS. .50 (Cheap contract and one the elder statesmen on my farm) 6. F Klim Kostin, STL. 2.50 (Struggling in the AHL and his stock as a prospect is dropping) 7. F Logan Brown, OTT. 2.50 (Colin White in Ottawa slows this, but if Duschene and Stone are moved he has to get a call up) 8. D Ian Mitchell, CHI. 1.00 (Still in College but if he goes to Chicago there should be room on the roster for him) 9. D Adam Boqvist, CHI. 3.00 (A dynamo in the OHL, but a risky call up if he doesn't get in 25 NHL games) 10.F Jeremy Bracco, TOR. 2.00 (Lots of contracts to be signed in Toronto, lots can happen and he is producing in the AHL) 11.F Jason Robertson, DAL. 2.00 (Dallas can't score past top line, but Robertson can) 12.F Jesper Boqvist, NJ. 1.50 (Already have Hischier, but he could get the call next year) 13.F Kole Lind, VAN. 2.00 (Dahlen is way ahead of him on the depth chart in Vancouver) 14.F Dominik Bokk, STL. 2.00 (Way too young and not NHL ready) 15.F Antoine Morand, ANA. 1.50 (Has regressed in the Q) 16.F Joni Ikonen, MTL. 1.50 (Just played his first game after a season long injury) 17.F Jonatan Berggren, DET. 1.00 (Too young and way behind Zadina on the Detroit depth chart)
DanielNegreanu 141
Cheap Thieves need just two points in the last 12 games to surpass last year's point total. We ranked last statistically at forward, defense, and +/- with a 17th best goaltending squad last year, but expect to be better in all those rankings as well by season's end. We are last in only one category: forwards with 113.5 which is better than last season's season total of 87. We wanted to see progress this season and we have. Nolan Patrick has been a disappointment but Sebastian Aho has led the way for this team all year long. Surprise efforts from Jesperi Kotkaniemi, Colin White, and Dominik Simon have helped add some depth, and a mid-season trade to bring in both Nico Hischier and Vincent Trochek have made this a reasonably good top six. In order to obtain assets we had to let go of our top two defensemen in Damon Severson and Erik Gustafsson. We are happy with the haul we got in return and will look to bolster the defense next season via the Free Agent Auction. Next season we will be led by a forward core that looks like: Sebastian Aho Vincent Trochek Nico Hischier Colin White Dominik Simon Nolan Patrick Jesperi Kotkaniemi We expect better numbers next season for each of these forwards
