FCP Bob 1,321
obama wiretapping trump tower? Sad! yup, sad that a FISA court found probable cause to grant a warrant on national security grounds. This has been reported in the media for a long time but Breitbart only put out an article yesterday based on a Marc Levin radio segment so President Cheeto read the article and reacted. I doubt he really knows what a FISA court is.

Scrim 115
You have no clue who Tom Nichols the author of that book is do you. He would be considered a Conservative Republican by most people but he's also very smart and honest. In the 16th Century, "expertise" was what your priest said. In the 21st Century, it's what some academic says. Given that academia can be wildly perverted by agenda, does it really come as any surprise that people are rejecting a lot of that bullshit in favor of what can be witnessed empirically? So much academia is nothing more than making theoretical excuses for why some ideal doesn't withstand reality or why some unfortunate reality really isn't as it seems. Here's a quick video, less than 24 hours old, that pretty much sums it up. Tim Poole interviews a Psychologist in Sweden. "First of all, double standards is anti-intellectual, and vulgar in a sense, that you don't look at empirical questions from a scientific point of view, but you make empirical questions into moral questions. For instance: 'is migration costly?' That's an empirical question. But in Swedish debate, it has often been the case that you who raise this question, your intentions are questioned--'why do you even want to measure people's lives in economical terms?' See, you avoid the empirical answer by turning it into a moral question. And that's anti-intellectual, that doesn't solve problems. It makes it very hard to discuss actual important, relevant questions and find accurate solutions." BUT MUH EXPERTISE! In other news, Trump backing out on promise to use US pipe on pipelines, Russian oligarch most likely beneficiary.

Balloon guy 158
I am heartened to see that for Bob, the best way to show the validity of a person's intelligence is to point out that he is a conservative republican. We are making great strides to helping you see the light Bob. Doesn't change my point that the elite feel they are the ones with a handle of things and those stupid people that disagree are unwashed scum who vote for Trump. Someone recently tried to say that the collective IQ of the Trump cabinet is the lowest in history. It is so fun to see people pull facts out of thin air and pretend they are smart when they spew them. It makes me happy to think of them stewing in their ignorance while they shake with righteous indignation that no one will listen to them anymore.

This has been reported in the media for a long time but Breitbart only put out an article yesterday based on a Marc Levin radio segment so President Cheeto read the article and reacted. I doubt he really knows what a FISA court is. A FISA court is where you judge shop until you get the ruling you want. During the summer last year, the Obama administration filed a request with the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) to monitor communications involving Trump and several advisers but the request was denied, according to Heat Street former editor, Louise Mensch. Just a day before the 2016 election, Mensch reported that 'sources with links to the counter-intelligence community' confirmed that a Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court (FISA) had granted a FISA court warrant in October to monitor activities in Trump tower. I'm old enough to remember when liberals were against the government wire tapping of individuals because of privacy laws.
Scrim 115
That's incredibly heavy shit. I really don't like the path we've been on as a country for the past 40 or so years. It ends in a dark, dark place. Starting to seriously look at various migrant-unfriendly places in the EU who will make it hard for me to get in. We're on a road like China where you know that eventually, somehow, for some reason, the wheels come off this thing. When it does, it's going to be ****ing ugly.

Balloon guy 158
Good detective work there Comey. Within minutes he knew that there was no wiretap, because he knows everything going on in the whole country... It course the fact that this is hear say from another anonymous official, plus it's the NYT, makes me think it's more fake news. I swear you guys fall for anything. How long until you stop believing everything the left wing media says, running around outraged about something that was carefully worded to not be harshly definable, that later proves to be baloney? I've stopped thinking the media is doing this for evil intent, and instead is making bets on how long the left will parrot these unfounded talking points. Currently the under is losing his shirt. Balloon guy 158
Proof they know and are messing with you? http://www.snappytv.com/tc/4110365/2504231 Clapper is their guy to verify about the wiretaps. AFTER he lied to Congress about...wait for it...wiretaps on American citizens. That's their expert.
Fenxis 99
Well this can go a few ways: 1. There's no wiretaps and Trump shows himself to be a paranoid fool that believes right-wing media over his own intelligence apparatus. 2. (Most likely) There was wiretaps but not ordered by Obama, thereby actually back-doording an investigation into the WH-Russia conspiracies at the WH request! 3. There was actually tiretaps and this is likely going to still get ugly because all of the stuff that is 'known' but secret is going to get out. Mostly outcome: this is all part of Trump's bluster to sue (but he never does) and this will never be investigated by Congress. Republicans probably know that there's something there but rather force through their super-secret (ie can't discuss with anyone) gut everything ACA plan rather than the more moderate promises that Trump had made on the campaign trail. Balloon guy 158
I agree with your list. However the "not ordered by Obama" caveat leaves out the option that he was insulated from actually doing what he wanted done. In fact, reading the stories being thrown up I'm noticing a carefully worded attempt to leave open the door that there were wiretaps, but Obama never officially ordered them. I do have doubts that anything good will come from these, because I always assume Republicans and Democrats are complicit in most corruption in Washington. But it would be fun to watch people going to jail for illegally wiretapping Trump. Fun as in hoping it's the beginning of a serious house cleaning in DC
