The Trump Presidency Thread

Recommended Posts

Pretty standard in hotel business to bring in the tough guy to make changes the main office wants, no matter how many people get upset.

Then move bad guy away to different property and bring in nice guy who 'restores' some of the cuts, but much less then they had before. Now the new guy is the hero, and the budget got cut.

Seen it many times in country clubs and hotels.

Priebus was target, Mooch was shiny object for the left to focus on.

Fun times

How the hell does a Director of Communications remove the Chief of Staff? The only person that should be able to is Trump and apparently for all his bravado he's chump that can't man up.

And lol at the PR spin a "successful" businessman has to resort to such tactics as been savvy... but keep drinking that cool-aid.

Raise Act is the most common sense immigration policy Washington had ever dreamed of.

Immigration policy should favor people who make America better, not taking in the people who put a drain on the economy.

A policy that is better for the other country by taking their poor is stupid and short sighted. The only people who benefit are the companies who can exploit the cheap labor resulting in a driving down of labor wages which hurts Americans working class.

Trump nailed it with this one.

Immigrants Don't Steal From Americans' Paychecks

This acrimonious debate is unlikely to be resolved soon. But stepping back, a larger pattern becomes clear. A number of studies of refugee waves have found little or no impact on the employment of native-born workers in the cities where the refugees go. These small or zero effects hold whether the refugees go to rich countries, poor countries, or simply to neighboring countries. In 2005, Card found little or no harm from Mexican immigration to the U.S. Some studies even find that immigration raises native-born wages, by prompting locals to go back to school and improve their skills.

So overall, the weight of evidence is solidly against Borjas on the immigration question. Borjas has written many papers showing harmful impacts of immigration, but an overwhelming majority of researchers in the field have found the opposite.

Legal immigration with controls and a path to citizenship which adds to our economy, expands our culture and strengthens our country is good....

Mexican (or Canadians) and others wading across the river at night or digging tunnels under, paying "escorts" to help them disappear, taking advantage of our public services and so on are bad...

legal and illegal...try hard to comprehend...maybe if it was in all CAPS it would be easier to understand

If libtards can't agree on that here is no point in talking.

In other news, the left has suspended all market forces from the labor pool in order to accommodate feelings based economics. Cheap labor no longer exists, and companies will have no reason to move to chase cheaper labor into poor countries since the cost of labor is fixed and illegal immigrants are paid the same as native born workers.

Should you come across any news stories of companies raising wages to compete for fewer laborers, just know that they are raising wages because they wanted hillary president and they want to share their wealth.

Meanwhile all tariffs are still active in economics, but only in a manner we feel they apply.

Fun to see liberals on twitter trying to deflect Trump's successes.

Trump supporter: Dow Johns is over 22,000 for first time.

Liberals: That's from Obama's economy.

TS: Growth rate is highest since 1st quarter of Obama

Liberlas: Both a result of Obama's economy.

Ts: highest employment rate ever, jobs growth is steady.

:iberals: You can thank Obama, his economy did this.

Alan Greenspan: The bubble is about to burst!

Liberals: Trump brought us to ruin with HIS economy!

Side note, nothing more digusting than Greenspan acting like he knows whats going on and telling us that artificially low interest rates are bad. It's almost as hypocritical as Algore telling us to cut down our carbon footprint while living ina house with the equivilant footprint as 43 homes, for a single man with no kids at home.

Whew........finally investigating the real crimes.........Treason,subverting our democracy and attempting a silent coup.

Sessions laid out his three-pronged plan for investigative action on leakers in his prepared remarks:

First, I directed my Deputy Attorney General Rod Rosenstein—whose district in Maryland encompassed the NSA headquarters and who has personally led these kinds of investigations— and FBI Director Christopher Wray to oversee all classified leak investigations and actively monitor the progress of each and every case.

Second, I directed the National Security Division and U.S. Attorneys to prioritize cases involving unauthorized disclosures. The Department will not hesitate to bring lawful and appropriate criminal charges against those who abuse the nation’s trust.

Third, as I said, we tripled the number of active leak investigations. In response, the FBI has increased resources devoted to leak cases and created a new counterintelligence unit to manage these cases. Simultaneously, the Department is reviewing policies that impact leak investigations.

Director Coats echoed Sessions’s sentiments, “Anyone who engages in these criminal acts is betraying the intelligence community,” he told reporters, “We feel the pain of those betrayals intensely.”

Coats too added a stark warning to leakers, saying, “If you improperly disclose classified information, we will find you, we will investigate you, and you will not like the result.”

What about crime?

Switzerland just determined that Africans are about 12X more likely to commit crimes than naive born Swiss.

https://www.blick.ch...-id7061264.html

Matter of fact, crime in Switzerland is almost entirely Africans, Rumanians and Turks.

Why do you suppose that is?

Colonialism? Or is it racism...

And at what point is a society allowed to evaluate whether or not migration from certain regions is a benefit to them or a detriment without being called "racist" for nothing more than making logical conclusions from inarguable facts?

Because it seems that to pro migration types, the answer is never. We're never allowed to evaluate migration in factual terms. We must evaluate it in purely ideological terms where more is always better, the reason for under-performance is 'oppression' and anyone who suggests otherwise is 'racist'.

I saw interviews with Trump recently from 15 or 20 years ago and he could put complete sentences together. I truly think that he has some form of dementia in at least the early stages. A decreased vocabulary is one sign for example.

A white supremacist terrorist murders someone.

Trump refuses to blame them and uses the pathetic "both sides do it" excuse.

This is hardly news.

However, a few Republicans might be finally starting to grow a spine. We'll see if this is an aberration or the start of a trend.

I think we better wait a few days before we pass judgement, because we do not know the motive of the driver yet.

This is 100% accurate and it's amazing to see the utterly insane rush on this, motivated by counter-signaling his presumed ideology.

There's pretty compelling evidence his car was being attacked.

If you're in a vehicle surrounded by hostiles, you don't get out.

Ebz2Oe.gif

It is possible this was a vehicle attack by a right winger against a group of left wingers.

It is possible this guy was under attack by left wingers, in his car, surrounded, and freaked out.

This is why you just avoid these ****ing things all together.

Given the potential facts in play here, Trump was right to not condemn the guy from the Presidential pulpit.

I wonder if the people condemning him now would feel the same way if the facts were inverted?

Black guy drives into a group of White Nationalist protesters who start kicking his car, he floors it into them...
