Babying 613
I am a little tick. Pens are -140. I don't like laying so much juice on the road even though it is a must win and malkin guarantee a win
Zach6668 513
I very thoroughly underestimated Tampa's forward group coming into this series. The speed and skill is unbelievable. Drouin scares the shit out of me every time he touches the puck. Kucherov too.
Zach6668 513
Also, the Penguins have been horrid at playing with the lead since the start of the second round.
Zach6668 513
Score effects are real, but the Lightning had 77% of the Corsi's in the 3rd period.
Zach6668 513
Crosby had a 54% Corsi at 5 on 5 with just 27% offensive zone starts. That's quite good, without score effects even factored in.
Zach6668 513
I'm not convinced the Sharks aren't the favorite over either eastern team
FCP Bob 1,311
I hate Bettman so much  http://deadspin.com/the-nhl-threatened-to-fine-the-lightning-if-they-didnt-1778925655?utm_campaign=socialflow_deadspin_twitter&utm_source=deadspin_twitter&utm_medium=socialflow

mrdannyg 274
That's hilarious just because it is so simple. Firstly, that 8000 people obviously shouldn't touch ratings. And if it does...then just point out to the advertisers who actually care about ratings that there was also a 8000-person captive audience at a huge rally! Â On one hand, I'd say there has to be more to it, because it can't be so ridiculous. On the other hand, I have a hard time imaginging what those "other" things could be that would actually make sense to not allow a team to do these group watch rallies, because they are awesome. mrdannyg 274
Of course, can't help but compare/contrast to the Jurassic Park raptors set-up, which got a ton of shout-outs during the live broadcast.

Zach6668 513
Pens opening at -145 on Bet365 to win the series... Â I don't know.
Zach6668 513
So my western conference bracket was perfect. Only had half of the first round of the east, but perfect the rest of the way.... NHL.com has me in 577th... or more impressively, in the 100th percentile. Plus I'm a lock to win my office pool for like $350 or so that I split with whatever charity they're supporting.
Zach6668 513
I don't have a clue who the favorite for the Conn Smythe would be right now, at least on the Pens side. That's a really good thing, too. All three lines scoring. It's so spread out. Â Can't find any odds out there yet.
iBeaver 409
Wow If I had to choose a cup final I would not want to watch this would have been it. :/ oh wel. Go Pittsburgh. My dislike for Thornton is greater than the pens.

Zach6668 513
I think the whole hockey world will be cheering for the Sharks in the final (Sorry Zach) Â I think there are a lot of people on the Kessel bandwagon too. Â That said, I wouldn't be unhappy for very long if the Sharks won. Like maybe unhappy for the amount of time between the final buzzer and the Cup presentation. Â Sharks have been my "western conference team" for a while. Maybe slightly surpassed by the Wild in recent years, but still up there. I would be quite thrilled to watch Thornton and Marleau hoist the Cup.
GWCGWC 83
I have the Pens in a pool so go Pens I guess. Â

doox 15
I was dealing blackjack and had a few guys at my table that looked vaguely familiar. They were all bearded, friendly, and one had a cut on his eyebrow. 2 of them played at my table for a while, and I paid attention to things they said, like how they played at this one casino in St Louis. I casually asked where they were from - they replied California. I said, "Ah - here for the game? Good luck, but not TOO much, of course..." They laughed, and kept playing. They later mentioned something about Minnesota, and showed disdain for the casino chips that had the Pens logo on them. As they colored up, I finally asked, "Just gotta ask - you guys are Sharks, right?" The one guy laughed, said yeah, so I wished them luck. Seemed cool enough, although they didn't tip. Apparently it was Martin Jones and I think the other guy was Nieto. It was tough to compare the mental image with the beard-less roster photo on my break.
