GOCUBSGO 77
I completely forgot about this. I'll do an initial weigh-in this week. Better make a grocery store run while I'm at it as well.
Babying 613
195.4 What the heck I know what happen. I am very systematic with my mornings. I didn’t go to the washroom yet. That explains the higher reading
rinswun 6
Week 1 weigh in: 211lbs exactly. (Start weight 215.4) Pleased with that although it's probably mainly water weight lost.
Babying 613
I may have an unfair advantage. I have the fricken flu again. Worst time of year to get it
Dubey 1,035
I may have an unfair disadvantage. 5/7 days this week spent travelling/on a trip. Monday's weigh in could be.... interesting.

serge 904
Some of you may have heard of the Keto way of eating. We have been doing this for the past few weeks. Its been pretty good for me..Its very low carb, high protein and high fat. Its pretty popular now and it has a lot of people behind it. I am sure also a lot of people saying its not healthy.. There is a difference than the old "atkins" diet..Its not eat all the protein you can handle. Still limits and you have to eat a lot of good fats...I feel so much better having cut out all sugars from my diet..Very low carb takes a bit of getting used to..However you feel so much better. Still taking in a reasonable amount of calories. It takes a bit of getting used to as..Eating bacon is good, and having an apple is bad..Sugar is the biggest thing we have to fight to lose weight... My challenge is tonight when Ill be at the SAP centre..Media pre game meal and the pressbox goodies...Ill have to refrain from the pizza and pasta..But I can have a hot dog, without the bun. iBeaver 409
I didn't think to join because the last time I stepped on a scale I was 170. Exactly where I want to be. But then I stepped on it last night and it said 180. What!?! Hmmm. I'll just pretend it's 10lbs of leg muscle from hockey.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Serge: GL with whatever you choose, but be careful. I had a cousin who was on that kind of diet the last little while, took out all sugars, kept eating good fats. Lost a lot of weight, looked good. Then, heart attack. Luckily he seems to be getting better now, but it was not good for a while. Not saying this is you, or that its clear thats why he had the heart attack.....but it was just a warning for me that maybe moderation is still best. I'm a big believer in less sugar, but I eat an apple every day, and most days a banana too. And I've lost a lot of weight on that 'diet'.
serge 904
this is key..moderation.. Sugar is the main enemy..
Dubey 1,035
eat less, exercise more. anything else just sounds like way too much work.
serge 904
eat less, exercise more. anything else just sounds like way too much work. thats so easy ..yet a lot of us are still fat..lol
Dubey 1,035
Oh it ain’t easy. But it’s easier than counting ratios of carbs, fat, sugars or whatever BS you have to do on some of those diets.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
eat less, exercise more. so true, so hard. I love to eat. A lot. It freaks me out when I meet people who don't "like" to eat. I have a couple of friends like this, who honestly just eat for sustenance, and for one of whom, eating is actually a chore he would rather not do. "Im too busy!" lol. He's very active, great shape still in his late 30's, but he gets zero enjoyment from food. I dont get it!

Dubey 1,035
Yeah drinking > eating but both are great. Drinking and eating while playing poker is peak existence though, and that pretty much sums up my upcoming weekend.
FCP Bob 1,321
I weigh about 146 right now but I have no spleen (seem to have been born without one). Since I started all the walking I've lost weight and for sure gained muscle. If you want to lose weight and eat as much as you like just walk for 6-8 hours every day like I do, it's easy. Monday , 28K steps Tuesday. 40K steps Wednesday 32K steps Thursday 22K steps
GOCUBSGO 77
Initial weigh in: 278.
