How do we know he's in public? Maybe he's on her lawn, or in her childs schoolyard? Lots of assumptions, and lots of personal perceptions. Personally, I find it as just as bad invading my personal space when someone shouts derogatory shit in public. I'm angry and exhausted. sadly, I think the President is not the true problem, merely the one that gets all the attention these days. I apologize if this upsets you guys, but I think your nation had huge issues long before Trump started his campaign and all this is doing is bringing some of it to the forefront, for example in this case, racism+bigotry. You could get rid of Trump tomorrow, replace him with the ghost of Martin Luther King, and it feels like not much would change. There is a deep rooted problem with the psyche of much of the country that i just don't understand, and most of it revolves around hate. Its in between races, between red/blue states, between political ideologies and between just about every other topic that has 2 sides. And in the word of your president, its on all sides. Every issue comes with such vitriol, its a wonder anything ever gets done. That said, NYSE all time high, unemployment is down, and Apple stock looks like a no brainer. Alls good! Build a society for all, keep the middle class a thing, embrace our multiculturalism, celebrate it. Will that work, I don't know, but I sure hope so. I love that we're there holding protests right along with the States even though it's not *quite* happening here. The CPC leader denounced The Rebel and it basically fell apart. It will probably come back more radicalized than ever, but hopefully we can just crush it again. One major problem is that people live in their own bubbles including people who eat only tofu and bike. The internet and social media have proven to be a massive force for division since it means we have less and less of a shared experience. We get the news that reinforces our prior beliefs, we congregate in online communities that often act as circle jerks that only reinforce those beliefs and biases. I'm old and I remember when Americans got their news from Walter Cronkite and Canadians from Knowlton Nash and Lloyd Robertson. Fringe thoughts and feelings didn't have a way to get out there to a wide audience and the majority of the populace had a base of shared experiences. Zach is showing his own bubble's biases in his statement and I get exposed to a lot of his bubble through him on twitter from things he shares and likes (thanks twitter for showing what people I follow like in my timeline). I often learn something from that exposure and at times I shake my head at the illogic. People have always been mad as Hell about things but now it's very easy to find a home where you can find other people who also hate big business or unions or immigrants or people who drive Hummers. I only disagree with a few small things. I totally agree that this was there before. I disagree that Trump isn't part of the problem. He gave them all the go ahead to now think it's fine for them to come out of hiding. If he was defeated early I believe they all would have continued to hide in their racist closets as they were already doing. He gave them the voice they longed for. They still only represent less than 17% of the population but now that one of them is the leader they have the power. Obv he's not the be all end all of the issue but he was the match. Putting out the match might help push everyone back in their closets. Or riots galore. Job growth is actually at a 5 yr low and continuing to decline. i just get annoyed when people not from the US tell us to do something about it. I would love to but I don't know what to do and like you said and many before you said, you have no clue what to do either,so stop pointing out the obvious Don't kick us while we are already down. People are doing the best they can. The health care issue was a big win. I didn't do anything during that because my representative was a no vote from day one. But if you step back and realize that the GOP has control of all three levels (prez, senate, and house) and can't get shit done, you can see we are making a difference. I remember during Bush years we all complained but nobody did anything. So nothing changed. He did what he wanted. I didn't vote for Trump and Im pretty sure I wouldn't have voted for Bernie Sanders. Would have looked for a 3rd candidate. What Trump just said about Obama, Bush and all the other former presidents in regards to calling families of the Fallen military is beyond unforgivable. This man truly is an abominable human being.
