2015 Wsop - 46Th Annual

Recommended Posts

I just started following the news. But I must admit that I like the idea behind the Colossus Tournament.

If they can handle the logistics, it should do really good things for poker. Hell, I wanna play. I hope it turns out well.

I know it's going to be tempting to got HAM on this, Pot, but I beg you, on behalf of Bob, don't do it. The WSOP thread is the only thread that matters anymore every year, in gen pop, and taking the t

A story like that has all kinds of potential to be turned into a 3 time award winning screenplay.

Another pathetic post from the biggest joke on this site. Perhaps when you have aged some more you may gain some wisdom and class. I doubt it.

From the WSOP website: "After four colossal starting flights, drawing around 5,000 to 6,000 entrants each, Event #2 of the World Series of Poker, The Colossus $565 No-Limit Hold'em event is heading to Day 2. "

They made it through Day 1. The numbers are still being crunched to determine total entries and how many advanced. Here's a link: http://www.wsop.com/...05&dayof=142054

I'm impressed that they pulled it off without any major glitches. (As far as we know.) That's a lot of players to accommodate in a short amount of time. It will be interesting to see how this plays out and if they try it again next year.

Can the casino put a cap on the number of players for a tournament?

They can cap it however they want based on how many tables and dealers are available and other factors

I don't think I'm going to mess with vegas knights anymore. His twitter is kind of creepy, been posting the same thing over and over for months: https://twitter.com/PokerScreenplay

So you don't want actions done that might increase the chances a 3x honored poker themed screenplay might get made?? I would say that is weird thinking for a poker enthusiast (that I assume you are). And, if it is bothering you, you would think an intelligent person (who is not on a character assasination mission) would simply unfollow the tweets. But you won't unfollow my tweets will you?

King Tanner, didn't you read earlier comments about derails in this thread?

If Bob was going to ban me he could have done it a long time ago. But seriously your Twitter scares me, that isn't a character assassination, it's legit sociopathic posting the same thing over and over for months at a time.

So depressing to see greed put an ugly finish to what started out as a exciting and innovative idea to put some life into poker.

A few individuals managed to reinforce the image of poker as a shady game inhabited by corrupt people whose only goal is to fleece unsuspecting amateurs.

The payout is a slap in the face to any players.

The amount of juice that the WSOP is keeping is the same no matter what payout structure is in place. The difference is that the payout is flatter and deeper so that more money is going to the "field" and less to the final table and top finishers.

It's actually a better payout structure for the average amateur who played the event.

My point says nothing about the amount of juice that is going to the WSOP, that's a separate discussion.

Can't blame Bob. The man knows where his bread is buttered.

Shouldnt that saying be he knows HOW his bread is buttered? Where is irrelevant, but how is critical. The how is everything and the how in this case is danny negs, and nobody shills for a corporation like danny negs.

2/2 We take integrity very seriously, as evidenced by our lifetime bans, and would enjoy nothing more than catching a cheater in our midst.
