BigDMcGee 3,352
i hated doing it, but spare the rod spoil the mcgee. If there's one thing I've learned from OG's top 10 list, is that you are NOT about sparing the rod.

brvheart 1,751
There's another. You're going to be VERY disappointed when you're unable to know what is number one on the list of Essays Top Ten Russell Crowe movies. Everyone already knows it's the Insider. It's really #2 and below that we were wondering about.
SuitedAces21 2,721
that's a warning for appearing to disregard the list. i'll ask that you refrain.
Untilted 158
I have no idea what the #2 thru #10 is. Once I saw Insider wasn't #1, the list wasn't worth of my time and I stopped looking

Ron_Mexico 4,219
Essay's Top Ten Russell Crowe Movies 1. Gladiator 2. Master and Commander: The Far Side of the World 3. A Beautiful Mind 4. The Nice Guys 5. 3:10 to Yuma 6. Robin Hood 7. The Quick and the Dead 8. The Insider 9. Body of Lies 10. L. A. Confidential L.A. Confidential needs to be higher. Master and Commander, yuck Proof of Life American Gangster Mystery Alaska Cinderella Man All glaring omissions I lose Body of Lies, Robin Hood and Master and Commander. Then I make a tough decision
Essay21 2,385
What’s interesting is I almost put master and commander at number 1. I always watch it when I see it on cable, I absolutely love that movie. We can all agree Quick and the Dead is a fine movie though, right?
Dubey 1,035
I haven't seen Quick and the Dead or Master & Commander, but I agree that Mystery Alaska and Cinderella man are glaring omissions. 3:10 to Yuma is fantastic though.
BigDMcGee 3,352
I like gladiator less than almost anyone I know. That movie tilts me because the action is anti-climatic. Every gladiator fight is increasingly less impressive and more boring. They start with the best, most exciting one and they gradually get worse. It's the same reason kill bill 2 tilts me. You can't have the final fight scene of an action movie be a complete dud.
Theraflu 1,035
Maybe if Quentin hadn't tried to literally kill Uma in a broken car, she could have put a better effort forth.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
DiCaprio and Hackman were great in The Quick and the Dead. Crowe was also solid.
Theraflu 1,035
Has the question of whether its the actor's performance in a film, or the quality of the film?
BigDMcGee 3,352
Maybe if Quentin hadn't tried to literally kill Uma in a broken car, she could have put a better effort forth. I think it was more Carradine's mind and body was atrophied from all the erotic asphyxiation and couldn't act or do even basic kung fu
SuitedAces21 2,721
Has the question of whether its the actor's performance in a film, or the quality of the film? it's mostly the quality of the film, but i do take into consideration the performance. for example tom cruise and magnolia. that is the best movie he has ever been in, but it is not a tom cruise movie, so it did not qualify for essay's top ten tom cruise movies. and recently, in essay's top ten leonardo dicaprio movies, i rated wolf of wall street above django and that was mostly due to leo being the star of wolf and the supporting star of django. so really it just depends. Theraflu 1,035
No ****ing Kate? Edit: No women at all! Jin's wife was 8X better than he was.
Essay21 2,385
Fvck Kate, seriously. Make a choice between jack and sawyer, and the choice is jack. Juliet the same. I hate that love triangle shit. Juliet blew it. Sun is okay, but her turn at the end to some kind of mafia boss annoyed me. I would admit I’m more attracted to Juliet though, but I really hate Kate. Theraflu 1,035
King cuck over here. I don't remember the Sun mafia-angle, but that seems like a flashback. And Jin seems like a bag of shit for a long time! Your top 5 seem pretty right. Mr Eko choosing to leave the show because he didn't get enough air time was a big loss. He coulda gone with Locke til the end in a real battle of black and white.
