GOCUBSGO 77
Essay's Top Ten Major League Baseball Players (All Time) 1. Babe Ruth 2. Ty Cobb 3. Ted Williams 4. Stan Musial 5. Tris Speaker 6. Honus Wagner 7. Lou Gehrig 8. Mickey Mantle 9. Hank Aaron 10. Willie Mays All great players and definitely worthy, but isn't someone from the last 30ish years worthy? Also shoutout to the Tris Speaker nom. My man
SuitedAces21 2,722
why not just make Ty Cobb 1, you sob. i considered it, but the babe is the only choice really. All great players and definitely worthy, but isn't someone from the last 30ish years worthy? if bonds wasn't a filthy cheater then maybe he slides in at 10.
SuitedAces21 2,722
i should have put ty cobb at number 1 for this slide alone

brvheart 1,752
Pete Rose should have made the list.
SuitedAces21 2,722
pete rose is way overrated as a player.
CobaltBlue 662
No pitchers? (Outside of Ruth.)
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Another colossally awful list. Congrats. The Royals 4th best middle reliever would blow cheese right by 4/5 of that list. Half the list never played against anyone browner than beige Pitchers pitched both ends of a back to back. In context, all of those players were great for their time, but overall, not the best of all time
Essay21 2,385
ron mexico, a guy who doesnt understand you can only compare players across different eras by looking at them relative to the people they played against. yes, there is no chance babe ruth could do today what he did then, but compared to the average player of his time, his value is off the charts. Same for the other Guys.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
So, I guess you can't read or see my last sentence. I agreed that they were the best of their time. How is Ricky Henderson not on the list?
Essay21 2,385
I read your last sentence, it just doesnt make sense given what you were saying. Go look at career WAR and tell me im wrong. I mixed them up a little, but every one of those guys is in the top 15 all time for WAR. they were so far above the average player of their day they are easily the best of all time. I dont think theres any way that magic johnson could handle russell westbrook or steph curry, but that isnt what were talking about here. I dont think babe ruth could 60 homers today, but he hit more homers back then than entire teams, thats dominance bro.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
So those early players were WAY better than a bunch of farmers. Yay for them Besides, Babe Ruth was half black
BigDMcGee 3,352
The only reason Tris is in your top five, is because he was in the Klan

Ron_Mexico 4,219
The only reason Tris is in your top five, is because he was in the Klan So you're saying we're not gonna see Josh Gibson on his list anytime soon? Josh Gibson's WAR was through the roof.
Essay21 2,385
Never heard of josh gibson.
Ron_Mexico 4,219
Never heard of josh gibson. 60% says you're trolling 40% remains convinced you're completely anti-black
Essay21 2,385
How dare you question the integrity of my lists? Hank Aaron says hello. Willie Mays too. Josh gibson is not a name i had heard before, but a google search tells me he was quite the slugger. gone far too soon.
