MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I dont think it takes you that much to get a Moulson and Hemsky. Dumoulin+2nd and a 1st rounder might/should get both, if you actually wanted both. I think the Pens should at the very least get 1 of those wingers I mentioned.
Dubey 1,035
Buffalo or the Islanders are probably the only 2 realistic waiver claim spots for Dev.

Apparently the Senators were interested in Moulson, but the asking price was too much.
Zach6668 513
I like the idea of Moulson. Wonder if he's fast enough for Sid's line. Probably. Hemsky... Ehhhh. Would take him for cheap.
Dubey 1,035
I've been hard on Hemsky in the past, but I think he'd be very good as a complimentary piece to a good team.
digitalmonkey 929
Halak not in Sabres lineup tonight.
Zach6668 513
I think Hemsky could certainly benefit from a change of scenery, but I wish that could have happened like 3 years ago, instead.
Zach6668 513
He had a good Olympics when they finally let him play.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
You know who has crazy speed and could keep up with Syd in speed and maybe even hands.....Parenteau. I wonder if that would be a good match.
Zach6668 513
Hmmm. Heard Avs were keeping him since Tanguay went down for the season. Not sure about him.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Oh, that might be. I doubt they would sell him for picks anyway, I never understood why they wanted to supposedly trade him for Bourque anyway.
digitalmonkey 929
Ray Whitney would be a decent pickup.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Ray Whitney would be a decent pickup. I would usually agree with this, but I haven't watched him much this year, and I don't know what's wrong, just age? He's pretty much a 4th liner on a team that could really use a 2nd liner. Whitney was the glue of the Canes PP, so maybe he could really help someone who needs a PP specialist?
Zach6668 513
He's like 43.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
He's like 43. Maybe he should have been at the Olympics then, since the MVP was like 42? Stop discriminating against us!
Zach6668 513
Halak not in Sabres lineup tonight. He's backing up, and I'm pretty sure that has been the plan for a while. Think he's supposed to start the next game.
serge 904
Why is there interest in Brodeur? Arent there much better options..Sure he is a hall of famer, but has lost a step ... It looks like going to Minny
serge 904
Bodog set the line at 16.5 for trades tomorrow...Ill take the over, unless 4 or 5 trades are announced today..

digitalmonkey 929
Claiming Dubnyk off waivers is better than trading for Brodeur imo
Zach6668 513
Everyone cleared, including Dubnyk and McLaren.
Zach6668 513
Cory Conacher is the most interesting player on waivers today.
serge 904
Cory Conacher is the most interesting player on waivers today. what a great trade that turned out to be...Bishop might be the MVP of the Lightning(ok maybe co with Marty)
Fenxis 99
And yet lines in EDM at practice are: Michalek Spezza Conacher MacArthur Turris Condra Hoffman ZBad Ryan Greening Smith Neil Methot Karlsson Phillips Ceci Weircioch Gryba edit: probably making space for a trade... or Kassian will get to play 20 games(!) Ken Warren @Citizenkwarren 26m Thinking Cory Conacher could end up in Buffalo. Tim Murray was part of the team that traded for him in Ott...Conacher has history in Buffalo
digitalmonkey 929
Obviously Ottawa is trying to see what interest, if any, there is in Conacher.
