Adelson Has About 24 Experts Working Nearly Full Time To Ban Net Gambling

Recommended Posts

The problem here is, the people in question understand the topic better than anyone else. If you want to defeat them, you must choose a battleground that they do not understand.

My cousins can tell you everything about commodities options but can be totally baffled by a torque wrench.

They're also the most manipulative, zero integrity snakes on earth and will say anything and everything to preserve the status quo.

really, though, LOL at the institutions with the most mature and regulated gaming infastructure fighting online poker rather than using what they already have to subsume it and making it their own. Well played, retards. I guess you have to justify all that bullshit capex you bulked up during the boom years. Wouldn't it be a lot easier to make those billions back with software? Seeing as you're already in a regulatory position to swoop in and do it right?

Looks like a fight is brewing on where to hold the 2016 Republican National Convention. Adelson wants it in Las Vegas but the Christian right says that sends the wrong message:

It is a multiple award winning city.

A Movoto Real Estate study ranked Las Vegas 11th in overall quality of life in the entire state of Nevada.

Take that, Lovelock!

...{Adelson} should also spend money to support the banning in the home of alcohol (which is addictive), tobacco (which is addictive and causes cancer), pornography (which is said to be addictive), gasoline, matches, guns, and kitchen knives, since so many children and teens can have access to these dangerous and/or addictive items.

Regarding Adelson's saying

"click a mouse, lose your house"

I've got one regarding kitchen knives and why they should be banned from the home (especially a home with kids):

"Push a knife, end a life."

* (No, just kidding, I don't think we should ban kitchen knives or any of the other items mentioned in the above quote even though they are dangerous and/or addictive.)

Here's a good article on a possible backroom deal between Democratic Senator Harry Reid of Nevada and Adelson.

I guess the best course of action now for internet gaming advocates is to quickly contact Harry Reid's office (before he is kicked out of his Senate leader position this month) and tell him how you feel.

Phone: 202-224-3542

Fax: 202-224-7327

Toll Free for Nevadans: 1-866-SEN-REID

I think that will work better than egging Adelson's house as was mentioned in this thread:

At what point do you admit your script is a failure and will not only never 'set the world on fire' but will never be relevant to anyone, anywhere, ever?

If you (whoever you are) want to voice your opinion about a 3x's honored script that you haven't read, then do so in the script's thread:
