So I moved to LA in late 2000, and got a retail job where I would occasionally see and interact with celebrities. I ended up seeing Rick James more than once, but the first time with the best. He was in the store, and was striding around, talking overloud on his cell phone. The store had concrete floors with tile on top. He was wearing cowboy boots, and somehow managed to thunder up and down while he paced. "I don't know." "I don't know what he thinks he's talking about." "**** it. You know that ************. He owes me for recording." "No. You tell that ************ he owes me $100K and I don't forget."
