Zach6668 513
It’s #9 and it’s 269 yards. I drove it and 4 putted for bogey. Yes I suck at putting Looking at their website, I’m thinking about hole 1. 240 par 4. Fun hole. I don’t recall how I played #9, if I did at all. We had to bail with a few holes left due to lightning. We had to bail with a few holes left due to lightning. Than you missed #14. It’s like 600 yards. The hole the guy flipped his golf cart We got a single playing with us who has played Caledon multiple times. He mention that he has never seen anyone drive a ball over the massive trees. Well he has seen one now. I did it. Still had 300 to the green

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Tennis is still a bit of a fringe sport for the masses and they haven't heard of him before so it's not that surprising. There is a mini boom at the moment in tennis participation and Tennis Canada is doing a great job at developing elite players. As good as Denis is Félix Auger-Aliassime who is a year younger and nursing an injury at the moment is considered the better prospect to break through to the top of the tennis World. They are great friends and it can only help that they will be pushing each other. one year later, its Felix time. (hope i dont jinx him, he's playing well) nice call Bob, been following him even closer since you mentioned it last year, kid has a bright future it would seem.

No worries though as it's all part of him growing. Felix has all the tools to be a top player but it'll take time.
MapleLeafpoker 1,462
I really did jinx the poor kid. Things just went off kilter after my post, but then, he turned 18 yesterday, and all that pressure playing at home. Also, was disappointed to the see the crowd, looked kind of sparse, maybe weather played a factor. I really wanted to make it out there this week, last night would have been a good night after the storms, with Felix+Nestor playing at same time. btw, I cant believe Daniel Nestor is still playing competitive tennis. I'm sure easier to sustain playing doubles, but still. I used to see him all the time at York U gym/track back in late 80's/early 90's when he first started to gain some attention, and we are about same age. WTF, well done! A lot of people have to leave early when the late match runs long. I played against Alex Nestor who is Daniel's older Brother in University tennis. He was OUAA Men's singles champion playing for York U. at least once. Daniel Negreanu grew up I think on the same street as the Nestors. When we were at Atlantis in the Bahamas for Protege 2 Nestor was down there as well (technically he's a resident of The Bahamas for tax reasons) and they gave each other the nod as they crossed paths. As for Nestor's longevity the last thing that goes is the hands and touch which are most important in doubles. The reason he was never a top singles player is that he is quite slow for a top tennis player but foot speed is far less important in doubles.
Babying 613
I am also playing golf on Sunday at Caledon golf and country club. On the 600 yard par 5 is where a CRA tax auditor flipped his cart because he was drunk on a very steep hill Well something happen at Caledon on Sunday. Otto and I stayed for 2 rounds since I had an Underpar. My golf buddy and his son left after the first round On the 2nd round on the short 240 yard par 4 we both hit different trees and the balls bounce back. I made a nice chip on to the green and putted in for birdie. Otto chip on to the far fringe and chip it hard towards the hole it bounce once and the 2nd bounce into the cup for birdie. First time we both birdie a hole. The rest of the front 9 was crazy because I shot 37 (1 over). Best front 9 in my life. The rest was bogey golf which I am accustomed to. However on the 11th I pulled my drive into the trees and rehit a huge drive down the middle. I hit onto the green and one putted into the hole. Otto said I got a birdie. I said no I count everything. It’s a bogey Otto is now bugging me to know when we are playing next since he probably played the best he has ever played too. Needless to say I am itching to play

serge 904
Zach. Has the Bird hit Toronto yet? I would think this is something you would approve of. They are all over large cities in the US. Scooters better than bikes?
Zach6668 513
Zach. Has the Bird hit Toronto yet? I would think this is something you would approve of. They are all over large cities in the US. Scooters better than bikes? Not yet. I’m not super familiar with them but can’t say I oppose it. My uncle posted a video riding one in Minneapolis this weekend. Reading lots on twitter as well. And some of those dockless bike share companies have already fully transitioned to scooters only. Could be a big thing quite quickly. Curious to see how it works out. There’s been a lot of pearl clutching in cities that have them worried people might get hurt (while ignoring the X thousands that already get hurt in/by cars) and the “sidewalk clutter” (which can easily be fixed with tech/geofencing/paint). Some legitimate concerns about how tech companies are just dumping them on cities without discussing with them first. When we write up advice for changing technology, I tell cities to get ahead of the tech companies. Have bylaws in place, but be welcoming. Invite these new forms of mobility in, but on the city’s terms. Don’t let the tech companies dictate. Either way, the more options we give people that aren’t driving, ESPECIALLY for short trips, the better.
Zach6668 513
I don’t know about better than bikes. I think they fill a different niche. I’d be more likely to take a scooter up to 1 km. But a bike will be faster for anything further. Also depends, how sweaty do I want to be? Lol I generally like the exercise I get biking (and I don’t get it many other places), so I wouldn’t want to replace many trips with powered scooters. Another big thing to watch are bike shares that come out with electric assist bikes. They help with hills, but you still need to pedal. They aren’t e-bikes. Montreal is piloting 20 of them right now. BikeShareTO’s latest purchase order shows that they bought two. I doubt they’ll be in circulation, but I guess they wanted to do some internal testing or something. Maybe just photo ops? serge 904
I think it’s jnteresting. The founder is a former Uber executive and they are using the rideshare model. I live in a city with a big university and it’s ideal for that market. In SF they are giving away free helmet as well. But I believe the city is against it and looking to ban. ( just like when Uber started out). I like the business model but like you mentioned there are some obstacles to overcome

Babying 613
Happy Thanksgiving. I survived this one since I had to prepare dinner (I don't cook). Zach6668 513
I was waiting to get my hair cut today, and I could hear the convo of the person before me. This lady talking about how her husband wouldn’t stop golfing until they lock the course for the winter. I was like, is this Wayne’s wife?
Babying 613
Probably not my wife but yes it’s true. I don’t stop golfing until the close the golf courses Last year I played Bond Head late. They closed it the next day and with the wind it had to be in the negatives The next day I played a crappy course Remington and they also closed it the next day. That was December 3rd. That day I remember extreme fog and not hitting until we heard the golf carts driving away. The fog finally lifted after 5 holes

Babying 613
To celebrate Thanksgiving and since the weather is good I am playing golf at Lebovic Monday and Wooden Sticks on Tuesday. Wow what a change in weather. Monday it was cloudy and maybe 13 degrees. Shot an ugly 94 (I take no mulligans and count every shot) At Lebovic. Tuesday was absolutely beautiful. In the sun around 27 degrees Personally I ate too much salty bacon and the burger after 9 didn’t help either. Front 9 I was at 42 but finish with 51 at the half I felt bogged down from the food. My whole body shut down aftet 9. Not sure if it was the heat or playing the day before. Definite highlight of the day was the 17th. The island green from TPC Sawgrass. I pulled my right and said goodbye to my Pro V1. Otto hit his on the green and 2 putted for par. Looking for at least 4 more rounds before the end of October
