No thanks, the smart money is on "extremely delusional"

If he is delusional, that means that he is trying to pass those puppet accounts in earnest, over and over, which is hilarious.

If he is ****ing with us, it means those puppet accounts are one of the most impressive devices if seen on here, which is true artistic beauty.

And if 80% of all new accounts in the last 10 months have just honestly been random people who lurked and were so interested that they needed to sign up and bump his old thread, that shows the kind of Winner magnetism that I can't hate on.

Three possibilities, three impressive outcomes. Boy's a stud.

I have a question for world famous script writer, Gerry Burlage. Do you like renaissance faires?

Just so we're clear:   You're counting making this list as one of the 'honors'?

Things don't move as quickly as you think in the screenplay world, Guapo. In the industry (that's what we insiders call it. You might know it as "Hollywood") it takes years, and at least three natio

LOL, poker is dying according to some and you're harassing a guy who brought a little rare positive news to the poker world. Self destruction is alive and well in the poker community.

I don't need puppet accounts when I got you-- see the next post.

You're using the word "news" very liberally there.

I'm happy your dickeating jokes ate dick, to punish you for sleeping on Deadwood.

I'm also happy you double tapped VK. I really like this thread's direction.

Totally deserved, it is on my short list of things to watch but I generally suck at watching tv.

is there any doubt that this script ends with the old guy walking toward the camera, the young guy and his wife in the background celebrating winning the main event and the old guy has a "atta boy" smile on his face and gives a little fist pump and then freeze frame, roll credits over the frozen frame of the fist pumping old man.

Why will you address things like this but not quality points and questions?

If you actively pursued getting an agent a tag line, synopsis etc would've been an essential part of a query letter? Why haven't you looked to display these things anywhere that you've been pushing the importance of your screenplay?

-my first script ( which sucked) was offered out to dozens of agents via a query letter and while a very very small percentage asked to read the script it did at least get my name out. Got me some feedback. I'd accidentally sent the treatment to a literary agent who while not the right avenue offered me a ton of insight and encouragement and even offered to help if I'd convert the screenplay to novel form (something I thought about but it's a different skill set and one I feel I lack at).

-you mentioned one of the contests being judged by industry people: I believe you said producers, agents etc. Did any of them express interest in helping move your script to production? If so what did they say? If not, why do you think they didn't?

-have either you or your entertainment lawyer reached out to or sent query letters to poker industry people? Agents, magazine owners, casino executives?

-your selling point is that you think the poker world is itching for a quality film featuring poker. Why do you think this is the case? Outside of the success of a blackjack film everything poker related has been a disappointment financially why should a company back this project?

On the one hand you say there hasn't been any success and on the other you point to one blackjack movie as a slid reason, which is it?

I could write an action movie and point to a lot of financially successful action movies but that doesn't automatically translate to equalling mine would be a success however it being a super popular genre would increase the likelihood of it getting read. As such it being an unsuccessful genre would lesson those chances.

There are a ton of incredible scripts out there ( read some of the ones on the blacklist) some that are connected to hugely successful writers that still sit on the shelves for years or that never get made at all. There are also a lot of incredible scripts that do make it to production where the final product is almost unrecognizable from the initial one.

You should absolutely be proud of any recognition your screenplay has gotten but going from that to being made is a rarity and often involves a great deal of effort. Effort that goes far beyond bragging on poker forums and creating uninspired, uninformative social media accounts.

Do you honestly believe that posting that you've written an award winning screenplay and posting very undescript/unentertaining/uninformative scenes is a productive way in getting your work out to the world?

.

Because my glibb one line insults are easy to address with quick delusions and\or lies. Your long, thought out, well reasoned arguments require an equal level of reasoning to address. TK won't respond because 1) he's being willfully deceitful because this is some con (level or actual malicious attempt to acquire an investor\mark I don't know) and engaging in a logical defense could expose him as a fraud 2) he's delusional and the cognitive dissonance your argument produces kicks in 'avoidance' as a coping mechanism 3)he's to scitzo to be even able to form that kind of argument.

I would put coping as your betting favorite, but malicious investor conning being where the betting value is. Notice an actual "4) he's a talented screenwriter who's promoting all quality screen play in an effective way' isnt on the board. Maybe he took a social media promotion course at the U of Phoenix and this is some strategy but an earnest but untalented middle aged screen play aspirant. I guess there's a nonzero chance of that. Congrats, your ceiling is 'elaborate spamming technique'.

Nothing like that, the final 6 scenes of my script are nowhere near a poker table. That's one of the reasons my script is different, Poker is an important element but not the main element.

You simply successfully conned me into thinking you were nuts...
After seeing your post #46 on page 3 the feeling is mutual.

There's a few people in this thread that really need to talk to someone about the hate you have. And if you have so much hate, at least take it out on people like Sheldon Adelson or use that energy to maybe help the Engineer and his cause to legalize internet poker . It doesn't make sense to take it out on a guy who brought a little positive news to the poker community which has had almost nothing but bad news for years.

You keep using that word, 'news'. I do not think it means what you think it means.

So you don't think it's news for a poker themed screenplay to win 3 honors after the lack of success of "Lucky You" and "Deal".

If it won an oscar, a Bafta and a golden globe for best original screen play, that would be news. ****, getting actually optioned would be news. Hell, a rumor about getting optioned in Variety would be news., What you are doing, isn't bringing news. It's spamming information about your screen play, in an attempt to get someone, anyone, to option it. If you claim it's anything else, you're lying. To yourself, or us, or both, you're absolutely being dishonest, and this kind of fake martyrdom is why I keep pounding on you. You're spamming, period. (Or leveling masterfully, if so, bravo)

Also, it's worth noting that you're still mucking around with me, instead of answering Irish Guy's serious attempts to engage you in a serious way about your screen play. See: post 84, page 5.

I think it speaks volumes that you'll take the time to respond to posts unless they're actually pertaining in a serious manner to the topic. If this was "news" in every sense of the word "news" it would've been a topic brought up here and elsewhere by people other then yourself. The entertainment insiders who judged your screenplay would've snapped it up on the spot before the inevitable bidding war began and you'd be sitting on the set of a big Hollywood production trying to take a breath between the rapid firing interview requests from poker magazines, online sites and podcasts.

You'd think someone like myself who brought a little positive news to the poker world by winning some honors with a poker themed script might be thanked and encouraged a little instead of being harassed by some.

I've already offered to buy the script for said $75K (formatting aside). Maybe you should pay more attention to the thread VK. You never responded to my offer.

And to the rest of you; Why can't you see that Vegas Knights and his script is going to save the poker world and make him (and me ) rich and famous?

Last chance VK... I normally ask only once.

He reminds me of the greatestIam, that atheist troll that used to spam off topic.

He probably would have been banned in 2008. but 2014 ain't 2008 and at least this is traffic.

this thread is in dire need of nooses and/or black cocks
