iBeaver 409
Never buy high prices hdmi cables. No difference between a $60 monster and a $4 dynex. Oouya is a small video game console that allegedly has an app similar to Apple TV. It's pretty new and so is the people who made it. Probably with a try at $99 Apple TV is way more I think. Lastly you need a Apple Digital AV Adapter for iPod/iPad/iPhone to get your iPad to connect to your TV. A hdmi/USB won't work. They are like $25-$

serge 904
The Santa Story: Last night after practice couple of the kids on Adrian's team started a conversation that Santa isnt real...The kids are 8 years old and I feel they are all on the cusp of understanding that Santa is not real. Some kids still were confused, my kid still thinks Santa is real( I think)..But he maybe just playing with the idea to make sure he still gets gifts. It always mind boggles me to see these bright, smart 8 year old kids who know tons about science, the earth and they choose to believe in the magic of reindeer and Santa. To the parents out there, at what age did your kids finally not believe in the Santa story. I think my son is at the last stages. Some of the parents freaked out, and some were actually upset that there Santa believing kids were subject to the conversation.

Two years ago, he came home from school upset because a kid in a higher grade told him there was no santa. I told him that I felt bad for that kid and his parents, since once you stopped believing in santa, he stopped coming and your parents have to take over for gifts. He thought about that, and said "I feel sorry for Thomas too". Since then, it's never been an issue if other kids tell him there's no santa.

That seems ridiculous, but yeah, very popular. For something much better, google "Dinovember". I'm planning on my house being a Dinovember house, rather than an Elf one. GWCGWC 83
Yes, All free. And, unlike stealing satellite signals (theft from the provider), or downloading (theft under copyright law), you are just streaming from a site. No download. I don't understand why you don't think this is stealing because you're streaming vs d/ling. Thats a good spin on it.. oh, well then.
gruven 530
I don't understand why you don't think this is stealing because you're streaming vs d/ling. Im no lawyer, and I've never played one on TV. But I have been told this is so. I would imagine it's probably not unlike me getting a bootleg copy of a new release and showing it in my driveway to my neighbours. Pretty sure the only culpability would be the person in possession of the movie. No download, no possession. I think, as a strange aside, thats why child pornography laws include the term 'viewing'.... oh, well then.
gruven 530
Save your pennies.... we got the WPT back into Fallsview for February.... perhaps a forum backed player (ZACH!) who we pitch in to back for the 1K?

Zach6668 513
I mean, I'd certainly go if backed, lol, but I doubt I'd be a particularly good investment. Heh.
Babying 613
$1k to play in February? I might give it a shot.

I think, as a strange aside, thats why child pornography laws include the term 'viewing'.... I don't know the law in the U.S. so obviously I have no clue about Canada. I wasn't saying you were specifically breaking the law. I just don't see how watching a stolen pirated feed isn't stealing. And yes, a person can be stealing something even if the law hasn't caught up with technology. It's stealing when you knowingly accept stolen goods. I'm NOT JUDGING YOU because sometimes I steal entertainment and who teh eff am I to judge anyway. The entertainment I occasionally steal is free to me because I don't have to physically pay money for the entertainment but it's not actually free since someone else has to pay for it. I don't think telling someone a jail broken apple tv will give you the ability to watch any movie or tv show for free is telling the whole story is all.

Ottawa_Biatch 288
I got a part time job at Chapters over the holidays (on top of my full time job), only did it to meet some new ppl. They wanted me to work like 4/5 shifts a week but I only work like one four hour shift a week, lol. Surprised I'm not fired, but the manager loves me I guess. Anyways we have this stupid thing where if you can sell 100 of your favourite book (which is impossible), you win $500. I decided my favourite book is elf on a shelf, and the shit sells itself. I guess I'm the first person to ever do it, which boggles my mind, instead of choosing your favourite book (I hate reading), you just choose the most popular book, you are a lock to win. I started working like a month ago, and the manager already wants me training the seasonal ppl. It's hilarious, bc she thinks I'm an awesome seller, but the truth is so obvious, I just picked a popular book and have no morals, lol.
