NickCave 194
Beltre and Chris Paul should hang out together. It's one thing if some Spanish goon rubs your head like you're his son after you just lost a close game, but another entirely to lose your shit IMMEDIATELY when, during a walk off celebraish, somebody on your own team gives you a tap. Whiskers 680
Well that's terrifying. I want this, but I'm afraid: http://blog.bahraniapps.com/?page_id=
BigDMcGee 3,352
I had a friend who reacted the same way to that. He broke my glasses once, jacking me in the face after I did it. It was hilarious. Speaking of hilarious...

Whiskers 680
Oh my god, the catcher. And the runner standing on home plate like it's a base! But...the catcher. The catcher is the star here.
NickCave 194
And the runner standing on home plate like it's a base! When the catcher gets close to him, he quickly looks down and makes sure his foot is on the plate, which is just... wow.
Whiskers 680
So apparently the first base umpire called the batter out because he thought it was a caught line drive. So that makes the actions of the batter more sensible and it makes sense why the catcher was tagging the runner. But the runner making sure he's on the plate is still very great. I also like how the batter runs all the way to the outfield grass.
The Ocho 970
OK, so with the explanation and re-watching. The 1st base umpire is the worst. He signaled an out on the line drive catch, then he called the runner safe.

I also like how the batter runs all the way to the outfield grass. Does it? Can't they just double him off third base? Assuming he can get the ball there? And did the ump change the call when the camera angle changed, maybe because the 1B just fires the ball home instead of the third? Bonus points if you can guess who the hitter is. Whiskers 680
I think the first baseman threw home because he didn't know the umpire called the batter out. Once the ball is there at home, it makes more sense to just tag the runner. The umpire might've changed the call, but I think that is probably even worse (for the umpire anyway).
