Recommended Posts

I have gone.nist several times. But, i never borrow money. I have loaned out money but never borrowed.he is a common example of what i see playing in the brick n morter casinos. People you saw playing for uears, one day coming to you asking for money. i quit loaning out money because of this. Of all the people i loaned to, only 1 ever paid me back.I have my 1500 left. Im going to play low limet hames and start over. Its part of the game.Learn.from the vodeo.

This is amazing. I've been at the bottom and am near the bottom now. Brad booth is my idol. He just needs to watch old YouTube clips of himself like the one bluffed Ivey on high stakes. Got to find ways to gain back confidence.

I was of course being sarcastic rather than ignorant. I don't know the details of his debt but given the large swings involved in high stakes poker its quite possible the debt is over $100k. Even a well paid job wouldn't pay this off in a hurry. However, I personally think removing himself from the poker scene until he has a control of , what seems like, dengenerate gambling problems, would be best in the long term. Going to play in the WSOP, back or not backed reminds me of those market traders who try to cover big losses by trading bigger and with more risk with money they don't really have.
Which they do until no one will back them anymore which is apparently what Booth is doing - if he's a good tourney player I guess he's backable - if he's a better cash player than he should drop down and earn it back slowly - but obviously he's not in exactly that sane of a mindset - either are traders most lose tons of money just praying that things turn around - you need to be able to take a loss and start over to survive - but when it does turn around and you make the money back it's like cheating death and you're addicted until you have the super blow up and your career is doomed
