was just reading the article in SI this week on online poker. Player has pocket Queens vs. Ace-King in an all-in showdown. They deal the community cards out 3 times, each for 1/3 of the pot - to minimize randomness. The article says that this is common among the pros? Is this true?

In cash games among professionals, there'll often be situations in which one player will have a strong draw, and another a made hand. In order to minimize variance, they'll "deal it twice" or something similar. Usually one player will suggest it, and the other can accept or decline. Ice

yeah I remember reading somethin about running it twice in one of daniels of jourals entries. If I remember correctly him and doyle ran it twice or something, I have never heard of players doing it in a holdem game though.-sam-

Didn't Daniel write something about "running it twice" talking about the drawing twice for the last draw of a 2-7 TD hand with Gus Hansen? I can't remember what would have resulted had they done it, but I think Daniel said that he should have because he missed his draw or something. Anyone else remember this?
