So you are agreeing with the following?

From Interview of the President by Rick Green & Laura Hollingsworth, The Des Moines Register

Question: Yes, that begs a question from us, Mr. President. Some say you had a super majority in your first two years and had this incredible opportunity, but because of what you were talking about, as you were running, you had to go to get Obamacare done. Do you have any regrets taking on some of the economic issues, some of the issues that we're talking about for your second term, that when you had the chance, so to speak, during your first -- do you have any regrets that you didn’t do that at that time?

THE PRESIDENT: Absolutely not, Laura. Remember the context. First of all, Mitch McConnell has imposed an ironclad filibuster from the first day I was in office. And that's not speculation. I mean, this is -- it’s amply recorded. He gave a speech saying, my task is to defeat the President.

Are you acting as if this is a matter of opinion?

I think it's a pretty well-established fact that today's GOP congress has been the most obstructionist in modern history.

What's the difference between a particular gene sequence in an abstract sense and a particular gene sequence that exists within a cell? Can you explain the difference in a way that doesn't boil down

This is pretty funny. The problem isn't the itty bitty details. The problem is Romney refuses to say if he's going to play Poker or Go Fish with the cards, and is on record as saying he doesn't know

I see.   I'd rather give the poor tax breaks than give them welfare. As a general rule. Let them keep their money to live on rather than take their money and then provide for them.

My question was do you agree with Obama's answer to The Des Moines Register?

So the president is unable to accomplish anything because he cannot overcome a tiny republican majority?

I guess its a good thing we elected him to try for another 4 years with the same republicans.

Hard to say. In retrospect he could have done more, but it would have been risky.

After it became clear that the Neocons had zero interest in doing their jobs Obama should have made sure the press covered every bad faith filibuster. If that didn't work(and it probably wouldn't because the liberal press is a myth and the general public barely cares about details of governing), then his only reasonable choice would be to end the filibuster rule. Still, even though it is the only sensible tactic, Neocons would obviously be apoplectic.

Obama chose the safe tactic of letting the Neocons get away with completely disrespecting the legislative process. Now that he is reelected though, there is less reason to take a safe route. If Neocons try cynically obstructing everything now I think he should risk eliminating the filibuster. The founding fathers did not intend for every trivial piece of legislation to require a supermajority.

As for the broader question, yes, he should have done more, but unprecedented opposition did hamper him in ways that no other recent president faced.

This is both hilarious and scary

"All family and friends, even close family and friends, who I know to be Democrats are hereby dead to me. I vow never to speak to them again for the rest of my life, or have any communications with them. They are in short, the enemies of liberty. They deserve nothing less than hatred and utter contempt"

Hey at least he's keeping things in perspective.

"Buttons. Boy, you can have a lot of fun with this. I plan to make up a bunch of buttons, and wear them around town, sayings like "Democrats are Communist Pigs," or "Welfare moochers steal from hard-working Americans," "Only Nazis support Seat Belt laws" or "No Smoking Ban: Nanny-Staters go Fuck Yourselves.""

GOSH THAT DOES SOUND LIKE A LOT OF FUN.

My next door neighbor got a really cute golden retriever puppy named Bob. He lets me play with Bob whenever I want. Whenever they're outside, I usually wander out there with a ball or frisbee and play fetch.

My neighbor voted for Obama.

Goodbye, Bob. You're BOYCOTTED.

I guess all these delicious jerky treats I bought that you love so much will be going to a REPUBLICAN dog now.

You can thank BARACK HUSSEIN OBAMA for that, sir. Enjoy your soy vegan treats from Whole Foods, comrade.

[screen fades to black]

Me: What... what happened?

...

Me: I think my computer's broken. I see the mouse, but everything's black in my web browser, and the url is gone...

[Words written in bold, white font begin to scroll across the screen]

The Internet: Greetings, citizen of Cyberspace.

Me: What the heck?

The Internet: I (we) regret to inform you that the concept that you previously called the 'Internet' is no longer.

Me: What? Why?

The Internet: It appears that, after years of trying, somebody finally defeated me. Somebody finally 'won' the internet, rendering me useless.

Me: Someone did!?! Who? How?

The Internet: I am now beginning my shut-down protocols. Social networks are being wiped out. Porn sites are vanishing. News aggregators eliminated. Pets.com..., well, that one already seems to be gone.

Me: Is there any way to stop it?

The Internet: Unfortunately, no. See, what you called the 'internet' was actually a long-running psychological experiment that was conceived of by, oh, let's just say, a much higher power than yourself. The goal was to use the entire paralel power of the human psyche to create an instance of a single, perfect experience. We have long believed that such a thing was possible. But we never really knew how to do it, what it would look like, what kind of experience it would be. Would it be a beautiful song? Would it be a film, art, something athletic, the act of making love, friendship? We never knew. It took us a while, but we eventually realized humans, given enough freedom, communication, and computational resources, would most likely stumble upon it themselves. We just needed to make more and more humans (something we've been working on for a while), and we had to nudge them in a few directions to create computers, http, web browsers, and networks of cables and wifi.

Me: ...

The Internet: All that effort finally culminated into one beautiful singularity of ecstatic experience. The experiment is over, and it has proven to be an excellent success.

Me: But wait, I have so many questions! Who are you? Are you going to leave us alone now? Was this the whole meaning of our existence? And, above all, what WAS the experience? What could have been so perfect that it was considered by you to be the manifestation of the perfect experience? What...

I'm not sure he's a democrat. seems like he's on the fence to me.

Im guesing the founding fathers had this sort of thing in mind. Im sure there are millions of people in the world who wish they had a branch of govt who could stop a supreme leader in his tracks.

Will to be fair this is consistent with the entire message Obama ran on:

"Look at Romney, he's rich, don't look at me."

Also, the real story is that the libel media companies were gouging the GOP in order to rig the election for Obama.
