So I guess this means it's a toss up in Florida.

Nate Silver@fivethirtyeight

Running one last projection based on this AM's polls. Our projected margin in Florida now Obama 49.797, Romney 49.775.

What's the difference between a particular gene sequence in an abstract sense and a particular gene sequence that exists within a cell? Can you explain the difference in a way that doesn't boil down

This is pretty funny. The problem isn't the itty bitty details. The problem is Romney refuses to say if he's going to play Poker or Go Fish with the cards, and is on record as saying he doesn't know

I see.   I'd rather give the poor tax breaks than give them welfare. As a general rule. Let them keep their money to live on rather than take their money and then provide for them.

equities may sell off on less favourable tax treatment of investment income

I think the evidence for this is extremely poor. There seems to be no apparent correlation between taxes and investment or the stock market. Under Clinton we had reasonable tax rates on investment and the best stock market ever. Under Bush the investment tax rate was historically low and we had the worst stock market performance since the great depression.

As for the election, I'll go with Obama 294 EVs. It can't really be accurately predicted based on the polls though since you have to guess on voter turnout and Republican vote suppression.

I think the cognitive dissonance between the two parties has never been more pronounced. Even on a supposedly smart place like here. The polls have shown a pretty tight race throughout so naturally both sides think they are going to moonwalk to victory and so do their supporters.

I could post a bunch of links showing actual Neocon voter suppression in the last decade but I'm sure you would ignore them.

He already thinks that when you say voter suppression, it can only mean voter intimidation. And that there are no scary rednecks in the GOP coalition just soccer moms and rich guys. You can't fix stupid and you can't convince delusional.

This is what voter suppression looks like.

Everyone who thinks voting suppression or irregularities are attrituble to only one party, take a look at this. I know the source is less than reliable but the pictures don't lie

That's in bad taste but does not actually suppress the vote.

Sure looks like to me that someone is trying to influence the vote at a polling place (motive of voter suppression). Maybe not by definition "voter suppression" but clearly inappropriate

Sure it's inappropriate but it's in a school and has been there since 2009. They should have thrown a tarp over it but in the big scheme of crap that is going to happen today this is really small and won't change a single vote.

School district spokesman Fernando Gallard told FoxNews.com the mural was "inspirational" and one of two that went up in 2009 following a student vote. "Not our call," he said.

There are the same accusations coming from both sides. It's all bs.

I'm sure the two or three leftys on this site could find as many dopey pics but as a rule, most liberals are pretty apathetic. Only recently have they started to fight back

(One man's opinion. I speak for no other lefty. Ironically, I'm actually left-handed)
