Ottawa_Biatch 288
I am very sure 6 points for a QB is standard. Also the reason for 2 of everything is because of the bye weeks. Makes it tricker for teams to manage their teams.A Flex can be a RB, WR or TE.I'm 100% certain, it is 4 points for QB touchdowns. Even if you have 2 of everything, it isn't because of bye weeks. You would still have to swap both.

Underdog 10
But what i really dont like about 2 def is that 24 teams will be taken no matter what. That leaves 8 teams left.Of those 8 some will be drafted(teams will pick up 3 def)That may leave 3 or 4 teams maybeeeeeeee to be picked up on bye weeks

As well with having 2 flex positions, that essentially means 4 running backs. That's 48 running backs taken.....We should just have the standard positions and scoring. Underdog 10
A standard league is1 QB2 RB3 WR1 TE1 K1 DThere are only 12 teams.Having a extra QB makes you more active on finding active QBSI like leagues were u have to keep active and not sit on your hands and look at end of year how you didand the extra 2 UTIL spots is really no big deal in my opinion

MapleLeafpoker 1,462
Im confused about something. Is this Yahoo's version of a standard setup once you start a custom league, or are these Jay's settings?
Babying 613
I do agree with the Flex part. It is too many, however having that many does make it necessary to know who is going to play. Also with the bye weeks, it does make everyone think. These do look like Yahoo settings and Jay should be able to change anything he deems necessary.
Ottawa_Biatch 288
Rumour has it there are standard leagues available to join...I originally stated when I started this thread, just wanted a standard league with the hockey guys. But whatever cool, thanks dannyg. I'll quit, u can have my spot

Dubey 1,035
ehh I'd much much prefer standard settings as well. Having a super deep league with all of these extra roster spots is just going to give a huge advantage to guys who know a lot about football.I think we should just use yahoo's standard settings, considering the overall newbness of our group. Dubey 1,035
plus, tinkering with the point values throws the yahoo rankings out to lunch, and they are a really nice crutch for newbies to help them draft properly.

I alos would prefer just a smaller, more standard league.

Babying 613
If there is a vote, let's go with standard too. All these changes is messing people up (not me however).
serge 904
I am ok with any rules.A professional fantasy stud like myself can adjust to the rules and dominate , no matter what.I dont need to adjust the rules to my limited knowledge like some of you are suggesting.Man up, dont be a pussy.... Dubey 1,035
so you think Jay has made changes to a standard yahoo league? I alos would prefer just a smaller, more standard league.yup standard roster is:1 QB2 RB3 WR1 K1 TE1 Defensive team6 Bench spots15 total roundswe are currently set up as:2 QB2 RB3 WR2 Flex (WR/RB/TE)2 Defensive teams1 K1 TE7 Bench spots20 total roundsAlso, standard value is 4 points for TD and -1 for interception. We are currently set up as 6 pts for TDs and -2 for INT. As well, there are a bunch of negative points set up for missed field goals that aren't part of yahoo's standard values. digitalmonkey 929
I have no preference. My vote is for sale.
Babying 613
The problem with the standard settings is that everyone will have a superstar lineup every week.It does help the newbies.

Dubey 1,035
The problem with the standard settings is that everyone will have a superstar lineup every week.I personally don't see that as a problem.I did an auction draft last night with only 8 teams that used the yahoo standard settings, and it was still deep enough to be challenging. There is still going to be a lot of roster turnover that will require attentive owners, with injuries, and bye weeks.
