mrdannyg 274
Well, that's the thing. It's different now that 95% of the Eastern Time Zone market isn't allowed to play poker. Trying out some different things. God, I got so ****ed by all the poker drama. So much money tied up on FTP and AP, and next to nothing on Stars, so I've had to drop to just 1/2 as to avoid going busto, so that kills 50% of my action right there, just by not having 2/4 to 5/10 tables open, not to mention not being able to play on my other two sites.I was in a similar boat when I started playing William Hill and the Euro sites for bonuses. Had to completely change my hours up for a couple of weeks. And also had to get used to being the aggro-fish with a 19/12 style...in full-ring LHE!You play short-handed NL right?8 down 6 to go. Changing my shirt for the night and going commando. Chaffing hits an all time high. That just made me nauseous. Commando on a day like today (well, yesterday now), is asking for a fat chick inner thigh rash.Actually more like a drug dealer since they would pay any price for their fix. I remember working for my parents when they had a booth at the Cne. It was the Only place with seating and air con. The old folks would come in and pay huge for lunch. I felt extremely guilty. When I was 18, I went down to the CNE every day to play poker. I had never played, other than for quarters online for a few weeks, so was pretty nervous. Won $500 the first day, and probably won less than $500 in total over the next 3 weeks, averaging about $3/hour. I told my parents I was working at the ex, driving a mini-cart around to deliver drinks to all the booths. It was a super-hot summer, so that explained the extra hours, because I told them all the drinks for all vendors were stored in a warehouse, so I basically spent all day driving it around, delivering drinks in small batches.I dunno, maybe they got suspicious when, after 3 weeks supposedly in the 100-degree sun, I didn't have a tan. mrdannyg 274
Also, I'm on my man-period today. You guys ever get this? Nothing bad has happened in the last couple days. I had a good softball game last night, work is fine, wife is great and it's Friday. But yesterday and today I am angry, sad, upset and violent, all rolled up. No reason. Seems to happen for a couple days every month. I could watch Derek Jeter take a groundball in the nuts and it wouldn't even make me laugh right now.

I usually go and get the pass so that I can park on the grounds. Won everytime I went except for last year. Took me for $700 (got off my game plus it is limit only).

Zach6668 513
All they offer is limit? That's awesome. I miss playing limit, but in casinos that spread both, the LHE games tend to just be filled with bitter, stubborn, old men who learned poker by playing limited betting games. The new blood (FISH!) all flock to the NL games now. I would actually consider playing live poker, if there was an LHE monopoly in the city I lived in. Live NL is the most boring thing ever. They raised and reraise each other and only had bottom pair (bet me out of the winning hand). After that there was furious betting when the guy hit his trip queens (I had Kings) and betting furious again. I stayed to the end and saw the damage. It was down hill from there. You should make it down. Lots of old fish, flush drawers, Serge, me, etc.

Less than 10 years ago you could smoke in there, well after smoking was banned in all other casinos, so you had nothing but old gross men, who love to chase pairs, and for whom a raise means you should run for the hills.I only ever played limit, so it was a perfect place for me, but I only made it down that year and the next - last years I spent in Toronto. The summer I went Q107 put on a big concert series where seats were only $10.70 for some great bands - Deep Purple, Boston, Lynyrd Skynyrd, with cheap seats for Yes, Rush, Jethro Tull and others. I'd almost always play all day, then walk over to the concert. Only problem was taking the streetcar, then the late-night Yonge bus home at like 3am, with as much as $1,000 in my pockets...I miss it. Wish I was in Toronto this year - I'd be there every day, all day.

My parents love gambling (it is in the blood). That'd be nice! My parents strongly suggested I stay in Guelph the following summer, and barely talked to me for years after they found out. Our relationship is still strained, though that is because of a combination of 'gambling' and lying about gambling. It only started to turn when, after a couple years outside of university, it became clear that I still didn't have a real job, I was not dealing cocaine, and I had not asked for money.Bahaha. Babying 613
LOL. It is the truth.BTW, my new ride (2009 Acadia) as of Saturday morning. I usually get a new/used vehicle after 5/6 years. Will be looking at snow tires:
Dubey 1,035
My parents think I'm like the best poker player ever* (I'm not), and they know I'm a responsible gambler, so if I told them I was quitting my job to play poker for a living, I would get nothing but support, I'm sure.*We used to play family home games, and I won like 90% of the time. Also, we used to host tournaments in my parents basement with 10-20 buddies + my parents would play, and I won a lot, so they have an inflated opinion of me as a poker player. I was all set to go and unfortunately did not, my Mom said no way is my only son going somewhere illegal. A week later the place got busted and my Dad got "I told you so".
