I'm interested in finding out if anybody else on here has been frequenting the new poker room? It's been running sincethe winter and I'm curious to see what fcp'ers thought. I PersOnally love it. It's so close to my house and the room is usually jumping. Lots of good action. It's in Bensalem pa for those that don't know. Also, I'll be there tonight if anybody else is going.

I have not, but would love to know if they are paying the "pro's".
Surprisingly not. Nick frangos was supposed to be the house pro, but they wouldn't offer him rakeback. They wouldn't even give him unlimited comps. Pretty sick if you ask me.

Is Dutch Boyd's crew still around?
Funny you should ask. My two friends played a borgata sPring open event and saw rob Boyd and Brett Jungblutt. I used to play with rob at the taj when he would slum it at the 1/2 nl games. Good guy. Ran some sick bluffs on me.

I live about 30 mins from the Parx and have played there a few times. The game selection is pretty reasonable and they sit a lot of tables particularly on the weekends. The have a website where you can view the current sittings games list on their site.I've seen them sit about 20 to 30 1-2NL tables with pretty fast turnover for those waiting on the list. They will sit Omaha 4/8 with a half kill most nights. I've seen quite a few larger games , 10-20NL, 40-80Limit that sort of thing. One of the differences with the Parx is that it allows smoking almost everywhere in the casino. There are a few No smoking tables but not too many. They don't allow smoking at the poker tables but there is a bar at the end of the room where folks go to smoke between hands. One of the dealers said that smoking was a huge draw for the Asian community as most casino's in AC no longer have smoking tables.Parking could be better, there is a huge handicap area that is usually full as well. Their last email survey asked if the built a parking tower, would folks use it or not. Guess they know. There are 2 buildings at the Parx, East and West. Parx East has poker and some tables, sports betting, 2 restaurants. Upstairs is just poker for now, with some electronic tables for blackjack and the like. The bar does have a small menu that's meh at best. One of the odd things I have noticed is that they charge for most of the drinks. Unlike AC they don't give it away. Kind of a surprise to anyone used to AC/Foxwoods/Mohegan Sun.
