Is Internet Poker Cheating To Benefit Bad Play?

Recommended Posts

Here is a set of 10-1 SNG's from Party Poker. I recorded all of all-ins. I list the favored hand first. The result is from the from the point of view of the favored hand. These arent my bad beats these are all of them, bad, coin flip or otherwise.1. qq/JJ L2. AJs/ 7-4 L3. jj /a8 w4. a-10 /a-7 L5. 66/ A9 L6. 98/A9 L7. kk/Aks L8. aj/a10 w9. aa/10-10 w10. aj/a6 L11. aa/qq w12. aa/j10s w13. 10-5/9-6 W14. aa/q4s W15. a-7/a-3s L16. AKs/j10 L17. K-10/k3s L18. jj/a-2 Lthis shows 10 of the 18 underdogs won. Many of them dominated. What is more striking if I neglect the AA wins a staggering 10 wins for the underdog versus 4 for the favorite. I admit this is not yet statistically valid but the odds of this occurring randomly are very very high. My supposition is the sites deal randomly but seed the worse hand with straights, flushes or pairing of the under card. The alogorithm is either suspended when the best hand is aces or is designed to very weakly protect the worse hand. Why would they do this is simple. If everything was played fairly the worse players will lose quickly to the more skilled and thus reduce the traffic on the site. The reason why not to include aces in the algorithm is because we remember beaten aces and after 3 or 4 times the better player will leave the site. I am going to continue to collect data as long as my bankroll hold out. Even with these occurences I am slightly ahead on the site thanks to some good "luck" in the first 150 hands I was dealt. I would bevery interested in others collecting data.As I love to keep collecting the data on games, so maybe patterns can be seen. But below is a Article that proves online poker is riggedhttp://www.billrini.com/2004/11/30/proof-t...poker-is-riggedBut I would like to get more views from other members views on this subject.

Need a bigger sample than that. I have ridiculous stretches my self, but variance can be a bitch. You just cannot evaluate poker as a whole by one session, or even a week. Hell, even a month can be a stretch. As for poker being rigged, yeah some sites have been, some sites probably still are. I've played on both stars and ftp for a while and I haven't noticed any statistical anomalies in my databases. As for that article, it's dated 2004. I think the industry has changed since then :club:

outsider12, I am very sure the industry has really changed since 2004, as I am sure they want to stop cheatting as much as they can when they lose tons of money from online play, because that can really be costly to them and not the cheater. The industry are there to make tons of money and not to lose it, just like us poker players wants the same thing. But here is another theory of mine is the poker sites would keep a profile, tracking how long you play verse how much you spent (win /lose) in a session. Player A’s profile is, he will come on line and play until he loses $50 bucks, wins a $100 or plays for two hours then quits. It is better for the site to keep him playing the full two hours. So the program sees his stack at $20 and he has only played 10 minutes. It changes his odds of winning just enough to put him in his comfort zone so he continue to play to his two hour time limit. The site is making the rake as long as the players are there. They make $15 buck (or /whatever?) if he is on line playing two hours at 25/50 cents N/L. The site does not care if he win or lose over – all, they just want him there feeding the rake. Same as the real casinos! The casinos use shills (players who are hire by the casinos to ensure actions at a game) so why shouldn’t on- line poker site use a shill program. So remember to track how often the short stack loses to the big or middle stack. My bet is that’s where you’ll find a large percentage of the bad beats. But you will not be able to see this from a single table. You will not have the profile and the data the poker site’s computer has and never will

That article is a complete level. It shows an online dealer dealing from the bottom of the deck and a card up the sleeve of an online avatar. If the OP is really citing this as an example of OL Cheating, then he either didn't read the article or is not very smart. Actually these aren't mutually exclusive.OP is going to list a sample size of 18 and expect to conclude anything?Seriously?Jesus, why do I even acknowledge this crap?
