Daniel Vs Isildur1 - Superstar Showdown

Recommended Posts

Daniel seems to really be struggling with the 4-tabling, plus he has thrown some ill-timed bluffs and gotten picked off. Would be very interested to know what he is thinking when Isildur has only 5700 behind and there is 10k in the pot, Isildur has repped a big hand (turned out to be a straight) on the turn and Daniel overbets the pot bluffing after missing his flush. 5 6 diamonds vs Isildur's 8 10 -- the play might have worked if Isildur had more money behind as a 10 came to complete a 9 J Q 10 board, semi-counterfeiting Isildur's hand from the 2nd nuts to just the bottom end of a 4 card straight but with his stack size it seems like a strange play and fittingly, was snapped off.

dude is getting owned.... not even close... He wins all the "small ball pots" and loose Gigantic pots... That Small ball strategy don't work one bit against the best HU online Players...4 tabling is no excuse... he got enough "practice" and Daniel can't pay the 69 bucks for Table Ninja?

He is being completely destroyed 75k down after only 750 hands. Daniel, your good friend Phil Ivey would have told you if you had asked - the only way to compete with world class cash players is to compete with them every day for years, a few weeks of preparation is not enough for someone like Isildur to whom it is just another day at the office - now maybe if you have any of the 150k left next sunday you can get him to play PLO instead of NLHE

Playing somebody as good as Isildur and being on the wrong end of all of these isn't a good combo.okerStars Game #59523008818: Hold'em No Limit ($50/$100 USD) - 2011/03/20 16:46:24 ETTable 'Showdown 2' 2-max Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: Isildur1 ($32150 in chips) Seat 2: KidPoker ($10700 in chips) KidPoker: posts small blind $50Isildur1: posts big blind $100*** HOLE CARDS ***KidPoker: raises $100 to $200Isildur1: calls $100*** FLOP *** [9s Qd Ts]Isildur1: checks KidPoker: bets $200Isildur1: calls $200*** TURN *** [9s Qd Ts] [3s]Isildur1: checks KidPoker: bets $600Isildur1: raises $1750 to $2350KidPoker: calls $1750*** RIVER *** [9s Qd Ts 3s] [Kd]Isildur1: bets $29400 and is all-inKidPoker: calls $7950 and is all-inUncalled bet ($21450) returned to Isildur1*** SHOW DOWN ***Isildur1: shows [As 6s] (a flush, Ace high)KidPoker: shows [Js 4s] (a flush, Jack high)Isildur1 collected $21400 from potKidPoker said, "sick"*** SUMMARY ***Total pot $21400 | Rake $0 Board [9s Qd Ts 3s Kd]Seat 1: Isildur1 (big blind) showed [As 6s] and won ($21400) with a flush, Ace highSeat 2: KidPoker (button) (small blind) showed [Js 4s] and lost with a flush, Jack high

Only thing I have left to say is I hope Daniel donates 150k to the Haiti or Japan relief fund since he obviously has too much money and just flushed 110k against Isildur :club:
Drew, stick to omaha.

this might be good for DN. I think a big loss here today is gonna make him realize just how hard he has to work if he wants to be on the level of guys like Ivey, Durr, Patrik, Isildur, and all the other top internet players. DN is a smart guy, I would be really surprised if he just gives up or doesn't take away anything positive from this experience. Still gotta be disappointing though :club:

This is pretty much how the entire day has gone.If people don't think that the deck has totally hit Isildur in the face they are a wee bit mistaken. Has Daniel been outclassed, maybe but the only sure thing is that he's has horrible luck today and nobody can beat that.okerStars Game #59529088917: Hold'em No Limit ($50/$100 USD) - 2011/03/20 18:22:57 ETTable 'Showdown 2' 2-max Seat #2 is the buttonSeat 1: Isildur1 ($67200 in chips) Seat 2: KidPoker ($6850 in chips) KidPoker: posts small blind $50Isildur1: posts big blind $100*** HOLE CARDS ***KidPoker: raises $100 to $200Isildur1: raises $600 to $800KidPoker: calls $600*** FLOP *** [9d Td 6s]Isildur1: checks KidPoker: bets $1000Isildur1: raises $65400 to $66400 and is all-inKidPoker: calls $5050 and is all-inUncalled bet ($60350) returned to Isildur1*** TURN *** [9d Td 6s] [7s]*** RIVER *** [9d Td 6s 7s] [2d]*** SHOW DOWN ***Isildur1: shows [9h 8s] (a straight, Six to Ten)KidPoker: shows [Ac 9c] (a pair of Nines)Isildur1 collected $13700 from pot*** SUMMARY ***Total pot $13700 | Rake $0 Board [9d Td 6s 7s 2d]Seat 1: Isildur1 (big blind) showed [9h 8s] and won ($13700) with a straight, Six to TenSeat 2: KidPoker (button) (small blind) showed [Ac 9c] and lost with a pair of Nines

lol @ all the 'Maybe DN will realize how hard thing is and will work harder'. The only thing he needs to work harder at looking at these hands is trying not to run so bad. Would Isildur beat DN after 1mil hands? Maybe... but these hands are just dumb to look at and say "oh DN got outclassed".Show me a guy who profits running that bad, and I'll show you somebody who can see hole cards.

I kinda figured daniel < Isidur1 just because he is not used to that element. However, 1 game heads up live or possibly 1 game heads up I think Daniel > Isidur1. Glad Daniel is starting to make a slight bit of a comeback, though.

Its true that has had insanely bad luck during this session, but I definitely don't agree with you that he has nothing to work on other than trying not to run so poorly. If you've been watching the match, he has been outplayed on several occasions, and I honestly don't think his play is matching up well against Isildur. Everyone is entitled to their own opinion though, so think what you want, but I believe he has ALOT of work still to do to hang with these type of players in the long run.
