vvganeshavv 4
http://www.pacificadelmar.com/it looks nice butI'm not a big seafood fanYea, the Marine's paycheck is from the navy, but the navy is too cheap to give us anything worthwhile. Navy gives us grief for that, but ask who is senior in ceremonies and such. It involves flag placement. Also, thank your buddies for being the worlds best taxi service . Kidding. I have respect for anyone who is willing to stand up for the country. We just look great doing it.Marines paycheck's don't necessarily come from the Navy but technically they do..Although Congress does appropriate all Marine Corps funding through the Navy (since we are technically part of the Navy), it's still Marine Corps specific $$...So no, your paycheck doesn't come from the Navy, it comes from the Marine Corps' through a Marine Corps owned and run systems. ezelisko 0
If I tried explaining that to someone, most would not have a clue what I was talking about. But thats true, thanks for the heads up. Learn somthing new every day.
chrozzo 19
3 star admiral? Ask him if he wants to donate to the eric zelisko pokerstars foundation lol. Thats pretty cool. Must have been a very difficult climb for him to that rank, politics and all. Thats the one thing I am not a fan of once you hit SSgt. It's all about politics . Not a political type of person. I would rather get the job done and move on.except SSG is not even close to the Officer status.
Spademan 94
except SSG is not even close to the Officer status. That wasn't his point. His point has nothing to do with "status" or, by extrapolation of your implication, "prestige".He's talking about the politics involved. After a certain point the enlisted workload and success approaches the status of where officers begin. That is to say your career accelerates directly in proportion to the amount of ass you kiss and the politics you play. The fact that your relative likely kisses more ass for more money isn't something to be proud of and be pedantic over.I add "likely" only because I know that, in some infinitesimally small number of cases, some officers and senior enlisted excel due to their badass ability, and despite their unwillingness to capitulate in reverence to politic.
