Rob played it perfectly, because Philip is mentally retarded. IF Philip was sane, and this was a normal group of people, then the person coming back from Redemption Island could make the next vote 4-4 by teaming up with Philip, Christina, and Andrea. The problem is that Philip is such a wild card, who has already sworn his loyalty to Rob, that it's almost impossible to imagine him making a solid move against Rob.

Well played tonight Rob.LOL at Andrea - she looked like her dog just died.I do not like Ralph anymore - You don't fuck with my boy Russell.
You leave my boy Ralph alone. He found the idol, didn't he. Looks like he could be the one to dethrown Russell.Don't get me wrong, I like Russell, but with my money on Ralph, I gotta stand up for him, that lovable goofing looking redneck.

I don't think they are going to banish a person indefinitely. It makes more sense to me that every week a new person will be reentering the game at or near tribal council. (maybe on the opposite tribe??)

Re: Redemption Island: It seems pretty clear from the explanation by Probst that each person voted out goes to Redemption Island and has a duel with whoever is already there and the winner gets to stay. And then he states that whoever is on Redemption Island, when it comes time, will re-renter the game. One person, one time. People in the tribes will NOT know who it is, as I don't think they will be given the info on who won the duel, etc...It's not a revolving door of people re-rentering.I get the sense it will come after the merge's first tribal. Kind of like a replacement. Maybe a little later, but it doesn't make sense for them to do it pre-merge.

They can't have someone coming back from RI every week. We'd only see a duel every other week since the winner of the duel would be vacating RI and that week's loser of Tribal would not have an opponent waiting on RI. The way I understood it was that each time a new person goes to Redemption Island they duel with the person already there. The winner continues on RI and the loser is gone forever from the game. This is from Wikipedia:
When a contestant is voted off their tribe, instead of leaving the game, they are taken to the area known as Redemption Island. There, they will have to sustain themselves in the same manner as when they were with their tribe, living on limited food and water supplies and shelter. When the next contestant is voted off, they are also sent to Redemption Island, and the two people will face off in a duel challenge. The winner remains in the game, living at Redemption Island, while the loser is finally removed from the game. At pre-determined points in the game, the person at Redemption Island will have a chance to return to the game and be reunited with the remaining players in the game
They haven't seemed to specify what the "pre-determined points in the game" will be. Note the plural "points" indicating that this might happen more than once. I guess we will learn a little more next week when they show what happens between Francesca and Matt.

Pretty sure it's just 1 person returning at an a random time whoever survives over at the other Island. Whoever is over there now might have to win 4 or 5 competitions in a row to reenter the game.

That is crazy.

Yeah, I like him better when he's goofy rather than talking tough. He's probably not half the player Russell is, but it may not matter. Russell and his girls are really outnumbered. Not sure if anyone else will help him.

We still haven't seen much of that tribe. The previews show the girls in Russell's alliance saying that there is going to be some kind of epic blindside. Not sure how that is possible without a hidden idol since they are 3 vs 6 right now, so they need 2 more to flip.

That's how I am taking it.

never ever ever never ever throw a challenge!dumb asses!
Yeah, that was stupid as heck, and I hope that whole tribe of gutless pricks pays for it.Go Rob, though I'd love to see Russell fight his way back in. (LOL at that idiot Ralph who couldn't even spell his name 'Ressel')Sidenote: They've been out there for a week already, why does it look like Andrea is still wearing makeup? She doesn't wash her face, or best mascara ever?

Why did Russell shave his pits?
Cause he's an attention whore? He should have let them be, imo. Ralph seems to be doing fine with his "man sweater".

I am glad they threw it, though I still think they would have lost anyway. I am so sick of Russel. "Blah blah blah, I am the master of the world, yet I have a one track mind and continue to make it so even if I do make it to my 3rd final 3 I will still get zero votes because I have no redeeming social skills to get anyone to like me except a couple of the stupidest girls on my tribe."I have not been that happy to see a vote go down like that in a while. Finally someone smartened up and didn't let him control them into something stupid. His cockyness finally caught up with him. He is just so stupid. If he had half a brain he would think about a way to change things up but nope, find a couple stupid girls and try and bully people around. Seriously, did anyone think he could keep playing this way and not get burned? I enjoy Rob way more because he adjusts to the game he is in and doesn't play the same game each and every single time. Russel is purely one dimensional and imo has jumped the shark. I don't think Russel is a lock to win duel's either, I never saw him as much of a challenge threat.I loved Russel his first season. 2nd season I got tired of him about halfway. This season, whatever, it's like a rerun. The only difference this season is someone beat him to the hidden immunity idol. Again, oops, one misstep and boom, he isn't the king of survivor which imo proves that he is one dimensional and cannot adjust./rant:)

So here are my thoughts, throwing challenges is just poor sportsmanship, period. To start, I don't see how it can get you further in the game before the merge, especially when the challenges are still immunity + reward. Fighting for tarps and stuff seems 100% more important than getting rid of 1 guy immediately (I hope a down-pour hits them hard so we can see them cry about not having a tarp). They are also now short of their most physically strong player. Bottomline is they simply could've waited until they legitimately lost to get rid of Russell while reaping some extra awards along the way. Also, I don't like that they only send 1 person from each tribe to watch the redemption challenges. I see no point in it. Lying about who won does absolutely nothing... it's stupid. Just let them all watch or no one imo. Unless I'm mistaken I don't see how it's advantageous to send 1 person from each tribe (Possibly talk strategy with the other person?... doubtful).Go Rob Go.

I think it's fine to not like Russell, but calling him stupid is just dumb. He understands the game very well, he major hang up is the fact that his ego is even bigger than his logic.

I don't know if I agree with it being poor sportsmanship. This game requires you to throw sportsmanship out the window at times to move on. I won't say it was the best thing to do, but I really personally didn't mind it.I think having to deal with Russell who was, per editing, being a complete bully to the entire team minus his two concubines, can bring a team down. He wasn't doing anything around the camp per the editing and imo he isn't as useful in challenges as some think he is. I don't think you can have the mindset that you will go into the merge without ever going to tribal at least 2 times so you take you shot early IF he is being the cancer he appeared to be take a shot. I don't think it automatically spells doom for the team either. Eh, it's at least a interesting twist.

huh? Did you not see the episode? It was two people from each tribe. The ex-NFL player lying about who got sent home was incredibly stupid. It gave him nothing and now the person with him knows he's a liar, everyone he told the truth to... knows he's a liar, and Russell & Matt knows he's a liar.

Sorry 2 people, not 1 my mistake (I was doing dishes at the time lol). Regardless that's kind of pointless. I think they should all get to watch or no one should and be surprised who's left.
