It was obvious just by physical appearances that Russell's team is more physically fit than Rob's team. It was also obvious to me that Russell's tribe seems to be a lot smarter than Rob's tribe. Rob has almost the whole tribe riding his nuts. Russell is going to need to find more allies. I think my pick made a bad move aligning with Russell. We'll see.

YES!I love this show. This season is already better than the last one. The mere presence of Rob & Russell makes every scene more interesting. Holy crap, Phillip. What a jackass. He's like Coach plus Shambo. Is his position really that he will never conceal any information? Good luck with that. No one will tell him anything now. What set him off in tribal, or was he planning on flipping on them the whole time?Best Phillip moment was when he butchered Francesca's name nine times and then blamed it on a throat condition.

Well, that was a pretty damn fun 1st episode.Ok, we didn't see a whole lot of team Russell other than the early "alliance" with Stephanie. She annoys me a ton, and really looks like a self-entitled brat. I can't tell though if she has a brain and is capable of playing smart or if she really just thinks she's the next Natalie to ride Russell all the way to the end.Sadly for them, I think the rest of this tribe may stay strong enough to not let that happen. Mike and David already don't trust Russell, and Julie doesn't seem like the type t get fooled easily either. Steve does seem to like him though, and if he can get Ralph (who I LOVE) and the useless blond Krista on his side, who knows?I think Sarita is crazy. Could be a good darkhorse pick though, since I don't think she got any face time tonight.Then we have team Rob. IMO, they have most of the eye candy, who have all seemingly become Rob's groupies. I think Ashley may have a little game, but I'm pretty sure Andrea doesn't, and Natalie is a brunette Insignificant Kelly from last season. With Matt (trying to recreate the role of Fabio) and Grant sticking with the hot chicks and Rob, at least for now, I would really hate to be Kristina or Phillip right now.I kind of like Kristina, but she's in a tough spot. She never trusted Phillip, but she was kind of stuck when most of the rest teamed up so quickly. She may have played a little too hard too quickly, but I think she sensed she was already on the outs. And kudos on finding the idol so quickly.Loved Rob's quick attempt to get the idol at tribal. He knew Kristina wasn't going home anyway (since he suspected she had the idol). I didn't see all the votes, but I'm assuming Rob's 6 kept their votes a 3-3 split for Kristina and Fran. Fran and Kristina voted Phillip, and Phillip was the 4th vote for Fran.Phillip - Wow, I just hope he sticks around so we see more of him.

The challenge made it obvious they were more physically strong. Pushing those staircases was really the difference. I don't think Rob's team is out of shape, but Russell's team had the extra male on their side. Plus I don't think Ashley, Andrea, and Natalie combined could push a paperweight. I definitely agree on the smarts. Somebody like Matt could be playing dumb and lying in the weeds, but after Rob I think Kristina is the next smartest and she's in horrible shape. The idol could save her for awhile though.

I think if you put Russell's teams strongest male on Rob's tribe Russell's tribe still wins. They have those 2 younger in shape guys (the army vet and Wall St guy). They have the older Quarterback guy who looks ripped, and even the farmer guy seems like he can hold his own. Rob's tribe has the young scrawny surfer guy, Philip who looks out of shape, and then the one other guy who has gotten 0 TV time who looks to be kind of in shape. The teams are definitely not fair physically, but maybe they will have more puzzle type stuff to balance it out.

The suits I can understand -- you've got layers if it gets cold at night, and the worst thing is you wreck some expensive clothes.The thing I really don't get is the women who wear a mini-dress and high heels. I'm not sure we had any of those this time, but it has happened several times in the past.

Andrea can go all the way because she grew up on a farm and is a hard worker. If there's anything someone who grew up on a farm knows, it's hard work. Farm girls fish, camp and Andrea has killed 7, that's SEVEN deer which we all know is very hard work.......and she grew up on a farm. Farm girl, hard worker....got it.

I've actually met Andrea! She goes to the college in my city and she's a really nice person. Obviously its not that big of a city here so people tend to get around with meeting each other but that's really cool and inspirational to know someone on one of these reality shows.As far as that first episode, summing it up was easy for you guys. Phillip is hilarious. Russell also obviously has a more physically skilled tribe.

I thought Rob did a very good job tonight controlling the votes and Phillip as well. He did a good thing saying it was a Team Loss and a better thing by keeping him on the outs until the very last second. I'm not entirely sure though that Matt had to go yet, possibly too early for that move to split them up (It's only the 5th day)? He seems physically fit and strength is one of their weak spots on the tribe.

Rob is so good at this game it's ridiculous. The way he played Mr Secret Agent Man was amazing...."Hey, we've got plans, but they are bigger than any of us. The plans are too big to reveal right now, so we have to communicate in code. At tribal council, I'm going to give you the Top Secret Signal that will indicate that the Secret Plan is in motion and it will tell you who to vote for. Do you think you are up for it?"Russell, on the other hand, seems to have only one game and everyone is onto him. He's got a bigger hill to climb this time than his previous stays.Ralph made a mistake to take on Russell head on. There was no need for it. Russell is a bully, and you deal with bullies by out-thinking them, not out-bullying them.

lol I love blindsides.I feel for the chick who had the hidden idol because I think I would have a similar strategy/mindset towards the game and Boston Rob. She is the only one who wanted nothing to do with Rob and I would probably feel the same way. It sucks that everyone is so far up Rob's ass though, you have to side with him or you are gone. I think if I was there I guess I would be totally loyal to him and then try to make something happen after the merge if I made it that far. Like either convincing the alliance that Rob is too much of a threat, or trying to flip to the other alliance.There is a little more wiggle room strategywise in Russell's tribe, but in Rob's tribe he is running the show and nobody can stop him so far.
