Fenxis 99
Edmonton only had 8 playoff games all year, 3 of which were 1st round (5, 6, 7). I know that, because Eberle wouldn't have helped me at all in terms of not getting swept, so Gagner wouldn't have been a big help either.Gagner has had only "one" game all year where he hasn't sucked though

Ottawa_Biatch 288
These farm guys are to help you win championships.Agreed 100%.I might be in the minority as usual, but I would rather call up a farm player early, if it helps give me ashot at a championship. I think too many people are thinking long term rebuild and not going for the win now. I could have kept Karlsson on my farm like you guys but I felt he have me a shot last year so i called him up early. It may be a gigantic fail, but it has given me the best chance to win a title formy team.
Zach6668 513
Yeah, and you're one win away from being a two-time champion, so you're doing something right.I monitored the situation on Eberle, Subban, Myers, Skinner before each game in our series Dan, and not once would calling them up have improved my chances going in. Oh well. I wouldn't have hesitated to call up one or all of them if I needed them in the second round, or the finals, or whatever the case may have been.

Zach6668 513
I remember Burmistrov would've made the difference in at least one game.I'm not talking about looking BACK. Burmistrov's PPG was worse than every forward on my team not named Dadonov. I'm talking about evaluating my EV BEFORE the game is played. Skinner would have been about my 10th best forward this season. No reason to waste 1 or even 2 years of him to push a guy out who has the same PPG as him (I may not even call him up this summer).Eberle is the only player on my farm that would have made a difference, but his team didn't play in any of the playoff games I lasted for.Look, fantasy hockey is like poker. It's all numbers. It's all about EV. I was a favorite in 3 of the 4 games I lost. That happens. But none of my call-ups would have made a significant enough difference to waste a full year or two in some cases of their eligibility.
strategy 4
yeah, but you never know what will happen on the flop if you fold burmistrov
mrdannyg 274
The pitiful part is that you actually might have done better if you had. Ohhhhhh!Funny because its true. Having Voynov or other D actually would've made the difference in a few games, though I would've had to start him over guys like Seabrook and Weber I'm really crossing my fingers that by next year, Voynov will hit a tier, and I'll be forced to call up a farm player. That's my dream.

Dubey 1,035
so, Shattenkirk would have replaced Mike Green on March 8th, and would have registered an assist, giving me the series victory over DaveyG. there's at least a possibility that I would have sat Potter instead of Green, and then it would have been a wash.I might have to go through the second round game days now to see if I would have advanced to the final/
