So...is it normal for me to be mentioned half a dozen times in conversations?Grr - somehow I have the reputation of someone who plays hardball, backs out of trades and doesn't follow through. How can all those things be true!?Pretty sure I have gotten ripped off in every trade over the last few years, and the trades I have made were the only ones where our offers were in the same stratosphere. I usually would have given more, but I was so busy playing softball (opposite of hardball? wiffle ball?) that I'd get awful awful offers until a deal was made with someone else. Remember, paying 2 1sts and Jamie Benn for Shea Weber? Trading Loui Eriksson ($1) and other assets for Rick Nash ($10) and no cap coming back? Those offers were the best of the best!I hate you all.

And the reason they said those things is because you usually always react the same way. I was just looking over past trades and the big trade between Jay and John you were admittedly whining about it and telling John you thought he got toilet level assets in return which sounds like you saying, I would have given you more. My guess is that your values are much different than most anyone's. But let's get one thing straight, you have made many deals with me the last few years and there is no way you didn't get the better end of the deal 80-100% of the time.

In DannyG defense(not really defending him) a lot of AHL owners are exactly this way..These are owners I will not trade with..EVER..People that make good trades but you still like to trade with them, because they dont make snarly comments especially in negotiations like:Ill trade you Colby Armstrong for Marcus Johansson...He is a Leaf, you should get him.Some good trade partners over the years have been Dale, Bob and Daniel..THey are good at trading, but they dont ridicule you before,during or after a trade.The best is OH you traded that guy??I would of given you my first round pick AND Malkin.

Heh, well I did tell John he got toilet assets, but that is different than saying I'd give more. I've said more than a few times that I don't even get involved in most talks these days with people selling because I have so few tradeable assets left!What I always find funny is that I really was terrible to trade with, at times, a few years ago. haha!Anyway, I don't get why people get so bent about trades. I hate trading because it can get ugly and believe it or not, Angry Steve hates confrontation. I know some of my off-season trades got people hot under the collar. I admit, that to this very day, I still don't have a good grasp on value. I mean hell, Ollie wanted Frazen and he didn't think my offer was good. 2 1st rounders and Kyle Turris.

You should've told me over the phone. We could've had a big argument in my call centre. Come to think of it, I think you did tell me that a couple days later, I pointed out nothing new had happened in the last couple days, and you admitted that you had first thought it a couple days earlier.I can't even remember what I was doing that annoyed you. Probably just disagreeing on players. So many young players don't turn into anything that it seems like we all get pissed when someone tries to pawn off someone young and mostly hopeless like they're the second coming. I mean, Bergfors and Frolik are sucking, while Grabner and Moulson are 30-goal scorers. How unpredictable is that shit?

It might not have been Campbell, but we definitely had a trade completely figured out, written in stone just waiting to post, and then you told me you were still fielding other offers and wouldn't be able to post or confirm the trade for a week or so. Then you backed out entirely. It's totally fine though, still love you. I'm just pissed that I didn't include naming rights on your firstborn in the Weber deal...you would have given them up.

Heh, it might've been Campbell, but there was at least once. I'm sure I apologized and everything, but it was a full turncoat move. I'm glad to hear you feel avenged on the matter, since you deserved vengence (apologies notwithstanding). I can only hope that Ollie, Biatch, and anyone else who I felt at certain times was trying to take overadvantage of my desperation and turning down fair, beneficial offers without having better ones similarly turns out to have a very good reason for doing so I'm sure you'll all be happy to know that, if anything, I've gotten worse at evaluating young players. There are at least 4 full-time writers who concentrate on baseball prospects, and dozens of others who offer more, and better information than just about anyone is doing on hockey. The abundance of information on baseball has made me even less inclined to research for hockey. Seriously, Jamie Benn? I pick him in the 5th round. Next year, he does nothing different than the year before, and I trade him since he's getting noticed and I figure he is overvalued. Next year he is on Dallas' first line. wtf.

yo Danny, its nothing personal, just a comment on the days when you used to pop up in every trade slating one side or the other. we've done a few trades where its worked out and a few talks where it hasnt but theyve always been good interactions.

Yeah, I've learned not to trust anyone else's reads or predictions when it comes to fantasy hockey prospects...they're always wrong. I started doing my own research, reviewing tape (ok, Youtube) myself and getting my own impressions together on guys rather than trusting the pundits. I really believe this past draft was my best effort yet. Time will obviously tell but I think I did really well.

He is fizzling out on the Hawks farm now. i really should just stick to the experts' opinions.I also ranted and raved last year about how awesome Dustin Penner is, and well... yeah.

I was really really surprised to get anything for Moulson. I was also really surprised to be the only one interested in Wisniewski, and think I got him from Biatch for a 4th or 5th. I guess I'm 1/2.

Yeah, I can't say I haven't paid any attention to Beach since I traded him. And I almost didn't want to give him up because I was pretty high on him myself. Congrats, I think you are the only person who got screwed a little by me!I thought maybe I would have screwed Rich when he gave me Brunnstrom for Lang and then Lang lost his leg a few days later but that ended up a wash. I actually lost $6 in cap in that trade now that I think about it. I was completely raped in the ass and then in the mouth by Jay in my fist week in the league though.

I pretty much had Kyle Beach pegged from the start...everytime a scout or TV personality talked about him it was always "Big physical body his attitude kinda sucks very offensively minded player terrible in his own end"...and so on.

My most memorable trading moment with Danny was when he PM'd me asking if I was interested in Marc Savard and I said yes, and we worked out a deal. The very next week he PM'd me asking me what I wanted for Marc Savard.

In the mid-years of the FCHL, I was pretty frustrated that every Zach Parise Nell acquired turned into Zach Parise (or Mike Green) and every Stephen Weiss turned into Stephen Weiss or Lawrence Nycholat.

Parise is still the worst trade I've made in this league...I knew he was going to be a very good player (I don't pretend that I knew he was going to go off for 90+, was thinking more in the 70's) but I told myself I could live without his $.50 contract (at the time) if it meant bringing in a player that could help me win a championship that year. Erik Cole was NOT that player. Nell came after me for weeks trying to get Parise and I don't know why I let him go for so little when I knew he was very eager to get him.
