Maybe it was just a pro poker player who couldn't get any backing so now he can sneak back into Bobby's room and start to spread the chips around, thereby getting clean chips in the exchange. Ppl who have chips in a boxes or with them etc can turn the chips in later and I don't know how the casinos handle that... so the robber may be able to get some of the chips redeemed.edit: apparently they also have rfid strips in some of the chips so they can potentially track them... The issue they're going to run into with this, I'm guessing, is that high-value Bellagio chips are considered to be as good as cash in the Vegas gambling community, people will take them as debt payment, purchase of goods, etc, so I'm betting you're going to see some false-positives as people who aren't the thief start trying to cash these chips in.
