ajs510 122
If Shayne Corson or Vincent Damphousse got traded for those reasons, I'd want to know.Corson *was* traded for similar reasons.
ajs510 122
Adderall will make you a better poker player...That's what I've always heard but I never pursued a prescription to see if it would help me. I stopped playing mostly because I don't pay enough attention to what's going on, so I tend to only lose.
serge 904
He's not my buddy, I really dont like him. But the story you linked refers (a year later, so certainly not while he was with the team, or even shortly thereafter, but rather a long time after the fact) to a number of rumoured causes, not just one. And Simmons is careful to say that others had reported those rumours, not that HE was reporting them. Thats kind of a cheap way out, but considering the time lapse, I can accept it. Like I said, everyone knew when it happened what happened, and not one credentialed writer told the story...Thats cool..And we agree on Simmons..:)BTW..I really like your take on the Botta story...It makes a lot of sense as you wrote it...Like mentioned before I totally respect and love Bobbie Mac but i think his view of things is a little more "biased"..Your explanation makes a lot of sense. ajs510 122
Corson was not traded for similar reasons. All of those Corson rumours were false....Hmm...I heard that rumor from a TON of sources, seems odd that they were all off base considering they were all saying the same thing. I'll side with you though, you obviously have infinitely more access than I do.

serge 904
For those that dont know what Adam is referring too, also I believe Chris on this story ..Funny thing is anyone you talk to believes this to be true, as its "common knowledge"..So even though it didnt happen, basically everyone thinks it did...The other infamous incident is the Iafrate and Gary Leeman one..Chris are you going to ruin this one for us too..Perhaps the most interesting – and naughty – story to ever emerge from the NHL came from the Toronto Maple Leafs' locker room. In the early 2000s, hundreds of reports claimed the Shayne Corson (one of the team’s top players) routinely got with the wife of Alexander Mogilny (the team’s undisputed top player) throughout the season.Once the news broke, Mogilny expressed his frustration with Corson and most of his teammates rallied behind him. That is, except for Darcy Tucker. Tucker, a talented forward, was married to Corson’s sister and felt obligated to stand up for his brother-in-law no matter how wrong he was. The fight essentially tore apart the team’s locker room and forced Mogilny to take a “personal leave” from the franchise to figure out why he was unable to sexually satisfy his wife.Corson was eventually traded, allowing Mogilny to return to a Leafs team that would begin a slow decent into mediocrity over the following decade. I can't speak to the Leeman episode, because I dont have any real info other than Gary has always denied it categorically. In fact, the only one that I know for sure to be true is the roenick/amonte fight at Chicago. Let's face it: if you're an NHL player these days, you're not lacking in high quality tail.... Mogilny not have a wife?My aunt and uncle lived very close to Mogilny, and apparently had scary-turrent looking things on his property and guard dogs. Not so out of place for a millionaire, except the rest of the street was very normal and residential.

Not so out of place for a millionaire, except the rest of the street was very normal and residential.Couldnt. It's the correct word. When this story happened, Corson was injured. The team was on a road trip out west, a long one. Mogilny flew home suddenly in the middle of the trip to deal with a 'personal situation'. Then the rumour started that it was because Corson was banging his wife while the team was gone, and that's why Elmo flew home.-Corson, unbeknownst to the rumour-mongerers was actually ON the road trip and with the team. Therefore, he would have had to fly home each night in order to do this.-The actual reason Mogilny flew home was because he caught up with some old buddies in Van (he used to play there) and was out all night drinking. His wife kept trying to reach him at the hotel, and his roommate tried to cover up but it was obvious that he wasn't in his room. She flipped, assumed apparently incorrectly that it was a woman involved, and told him that she was taking the kids and going back to Russia, then wouldnt take his calls. He flew home to take care of this...-Like I said, I was with Shayne almost non-stop that season, as he was trying to stop drinking. He did a lot of things, and an awful lot of women, but Mogilny's wife wasn't one of them.

I never heard this one, and I used to be fans of both when they played for the Hawks, that was a team I enjoyed watching.(for some reason, Im hoping its not another "slept with wife" story)No, it's actually more reasonable and probably more believable. JR dated a girl in Chicago, when he left for (I think) San Jose or wherever he went, he never took her along and had no intention of doing so. Amonte started seeing her, and JR didn't like it. When JR came back to town, they had words about it and a brief streetfight that resulted in a minor injury to Roenick. I was actually there when it happened (not the fight, but the day of), seeing a good buddy who was playing goal for Chicago at the time...

I just saw that they were drafted in the same year, and that they went to the same high school/hockey academy in the States. Dont think I ever knew that, they must have been tight til the problems.women. the root of all problems.

I was young then, but if so, you have probably saw me playing street hockey as a child. Weird. Well, not that weird since, as a noted pedophile, you have likely seen thousands of Toronto children play street hockey. Weird that you might've seen me without having to be in your normal spot, camped out in an old El Camino, wearing dark shades and eating fried chicken. What?
