you are the third person to say fold pre. i know this isnt strat forum but what do you see this play with , what is your lowest hand not saying my play was right but thats where i just dont know i see ppl play that (type of hand) and the price didnt seem nutswhat am i supposed to see this play with , help me
I mean you are 45BBs deep so limping with a hand that has some value in a family flop isn't bad. The reason I fold here like all the time is that you are UTG. You are just in a tough spot now when you get raised PF (granted the min raise you faced became an auto-call, but like when you get the full 3-4x raise since there's more drift in the pot now with your limp). Realize that "fold pre" is going to be the 100% response because 45, suited or not, sucks PF. Obviously, it's beneficial to vary your play for your long term image so a limp here can make some sense. If that makes sense. I think on each street of this hand postflop you are losing value. You never play your hand for the strength it's worth. On the turn, the PF raiser fires out a feeler bet. He would have surely C-bet a flush draw, so you really don't need to worry about being outflushed right now. You do need to protect/value people with pair(s), sets, or a higher flush card in hole. Then, when you fade all that on the river, you again play your hand like it's second best. You've been so cautious on this hand after a loose PF limp, your hand strength is TOTALLY hidden from these opponents. VALUE baby, VALUE!!!Hope this makes some sense :)Edit: I totally forgot this was a 6 max. That does change things a bit. Same general discussion holds true I think. But Im okay with the change of pace play...although I do think I may do a standard open 2.3-2.5x.

I like opening 2.5x pre here (steal) based on stack sizes and that it is 6 max. Line looks stronger if called. Would call if min-raised as you were.I would like to see some chips in on the flop with your hand. If raised by the pre-flop raiser, I would be looking to get it in with your open-end straight and flush draws

My stakes are like "arsenic". Lol. You succeeded to some degree on the first one, be proud!! That was like the 3rd cash of any kind in like 30-40 stake offerings, so you did well!
