I have probably ruined the books for me, but I have never read one, yet seen all the movies.

Book: Savages by Don WinslowTV: Season 1 of Veronica MarsMusic: Pretty Hate MachineAbout the book, it's noir, contemporary, and set in San Diego. Funny , smart and scary--I enjoyed it from the very beginning. I'm an inveterate re-reader, so my favorite, favorite books I've read and reread so many time, that taking away that layered experience and replacing it with just one? So yeah, Savages is the boo I've enjoyed the most with just one read. The same goes for music--but Pretty Hate Machine just felt so different-- from my very first listen. A friend of mine says he can tell an album is great because it sounds like it's from the future. PHM still has that modern future sound to me.Veronica Mars is just cool, and I think the first season might be perfect television.

If we are doing TV then hands down...West Wing.
Good call. I would love to be able to watch seasons 1-4 again for the first time. Honorable mentions to Firefly and Jericho, both of which were killed off far too early.

Did you know someone wrote Season 3 as a book? I ordered it off amazon, patiently waiting for it to be released.

I'd like some clarification on the re-virgination process. Are we just wiping my memory of the experience or is it everything related to the movie/book/album?Because I'd like to watch The Empire Strikes Back for the first time again, but it would be kind of hard to not know that Darth Vader is Luke's father even if you haven't seen the movie. And I'd have to not know anything about the prequel stuff too because then I'd just be thinking Luke and Vader are kind of pussies compared to every other Jedi/Sith ever and why is Yoda acting all weird and shit?

Had no idea, that sounds pretty cool. Is it a member of the writing/creative team from the show and the book will be canon, or more like a fan fiction deal?

Yeah, that was one of the biggest shockers ever, right? Must've been pretty cool for the few people that were actually surprised by it.
