Someone Is Selling There Wsop Bracelet On Ebay

Recommended Posts

Eastgate's tax bill was probably even larger than that.Denmark has a top tax rate of 75% on casino winnings and while Eastgate didn't have to pay the US any taxes he might have paid over 70% of his win to the Danish Tax Authority
:club: That is Fking Ridiculous.

It looks like this specific charity has relatively low administration costs for such a HUGE charity. It looks like a large portion of his donation will be going to the kids he's trying to help. I would have gone with a grassroots organization or maybe something more localized to his part of the world. Something that 20K or whatever would make an actual impact. UNICEF collected almost 1/2 a billion dollars last year. That's a lot of money. I love the idea of selling the bracelet and using the money as a charitable donation. Good on ya Peter.

Tony G will be buying the bracelet...And using it as a collar for his dog..He seems to be serious:http://www.partypoker.com/blog/tony-g/buy-...s-bracelet.html
that's awesome

I don't e-judge, and I do believe that regardless of value, everyone has full right to their own opinion....but mercury, your post in here is awful. There are just certain nuances in life that just make my skin curl. One of them is when someone does an generous act of giving and people try and paint the person negatively. I'm not blind to the world. I know that in many instances individuals and corporations "give" as a process of "getting" (hidden agenda). There are some far worse than others. One has to REALLY stretch to think this kid who has openly said poker was a means to an end is really trying to 'get publicity'. And to question the amount he gives is equally as asinine. Donations are gifts. If he gives $1 to a charity. It's 1 dollar more than they would otherwise have.No ill will to Merc or anyone else posting likewise on this topic....I only have a few 'hates' in this world and one of them just happens to be when people rag on other people for alterior motives/amounts for giving. It tends to speak volumes on the pessimistic attitude of the person commenting, and is just a fruitless response, in complete contradiction to the words "giving" or "donation".
For most of this thread I thought I was heading toward flameville and taking Mercury and that other random dude with me.Then I hit this post.I hate, hate, hate people who claim to "not judge", or accuse someone else of being judgmental, and then go on to fucking judge shit. "I don't e-judge, *judge judge judge judge judge judge judge judge judge judge*".Jesus. How does one not judge, anyhow? –verb (used with object)8.to form a judgment or opinion of; decide upon critically9.to decide or settle authoritatively10.to infer, think, or hold as an opinion; conclude about or assess11.to make a careful guess about; estimate–verb (used without object)13.to act as a judge; pass judgment: 14.to form an opinion or estimate: 15.to make a mental judgment. Like, what the fuck does it even mean to not be judgmental? While you're reading posts, you aren't formulating any opinion on the issue being discussed? You aren't making any mental assessments one way or another regarding the veracity, coherence, style, informative value, entertainment value or logical merits of the things you read, and, as evidenced by these things, their author?Do you just vapidly take in the words, not really putting them together, drooling as they pass through your mind unexamined? A hazy mash up of letters that just float around in your head and have no effect on your sense of reason or thought?I fucking hate people who claim to not be judgmental.I should add, what makes this particularly infuriating is the horrible smugness that accompanies this particular type of idiocy. People who point out how "open minded" or "non-judgmental" or "compassionate" they are, how "everyone has their opinions (implication being they are equally valuable, while they clearly think their 'opinions' are superior)", and on and on have the worst kind of ego. They take pride in their pretense of having a lack of ego. Idiocy. Pride and ego are only palatable when you are either really entertaining or always right. When you're an idiot, or hypocritical, it's skull splitting. Also, how the fuck does your skin curl? Are you saying these "certain nuances in life" make you feel like your skin was separated at points and perhaps burned and curled back from the heat or something? You meant crawl, right? Because curl in that context is fucking retarded.I fucking hate you.

This is by far the silliest thread I've read in a while and that is saying something on these forums (I read a pokerstars is rigged thread the other day btw).Anyone that does anything to support a charity earns a :club: in my book. All this talk about hidden agendas and motives is nonsense. The man simply did something nice, I doubt he really cares what attention if any he receives for it.

Seems like a real attention grabber for someone who doesn't want it. Call bullshit?
I highly doubt anyone would be interested in it if there wasn't a source of legitimacy for it. Someone could just attempt a knockoff, mark their address as being from Denmark, and ship that. Or not ship one at all.Plus this publicity drums up business.

I take great joy in not just judging people, but...how did Wang put it? Oh yeah, systematically and quantifiably judging the shit out of some motherfuckers.
The primary purpose is to systematically and quantifiably judge the shit out of some motherfuckers.
