6.35pm: Negreanu wins a monster potDaniel Negreanu has just taken this tournament by the scruff of its neck, told it it's a very naughty boy and that if it's not careful it's going to be sent to bed early. The Canadian Team PokerStars Pro opened the action with a raise to 26,000 from the hijack and was three-bet by Riekus Wijermars to 67,000. Negreanu then counted out two large double columns of blue 10,000 chips and four-bet to 120,000. Wijermars immediately announced all-in, which seemed to stun Negreanu. He asked for a count, it was some 400,000 more to call. "Call."Negreanu: Q♥Q♠ Wijermars: J♠J♥It was a huge 1.1m pot and Negreanu's over pair held on the 9♣6♠7♠5♠A♦ board. Amazing scenes. -- RD

Because he is Canadian????????
Been in the US as long as he's been in Canada..plus his second language is ROMANIAN...Pretty much 100% sure that 50 years ago Senator McCarthy would have had a little chat with Mr. Negreanu...if that is your real name.

3pm: Maisto missesGiacomo Maisto is out, eliminated ruthlessly by Daniel Nagreanu. Maisto opened for 44,000 which Negreanu raised to 80,000 on the button. Maisto called for a flop of A♦6♠K♦ which Maisto checked. Negreanu made it 42,000 ("especially designed for him," Negreanu would later say) which Maisto called for a 4♥ turn. Now Maisto pushed all in with 5♠3♠ and Negreanu called in a flash with A♠Q♠. The river came Q♣ to end Maisto's day. Negreanu up to 2,200,000. -- SB

PokerStars probably doesn't like his hat because their logo isn't on it:34fd24c8feb11975e8d4d556365ce1ef.pngCould he have forgotten the logo? Or is Daniel sponsored by Kangol now?Or, maybe, there's a sponsor patch limit?

A short delay on the restart, as Daniel Negreanu refused to accept the TV crew's ruling that masseuses are not allowed at the feature table."I need a massage, I'm really sore," he insisted, directly into the camera. "They have to let us do it. That's crazy."Needless to say, the no-masseuse rule was swiftly relaxed.LOL
