keith crime 8
I was at a low home tourney and the short stackI raised with KQd and I thought everyone had folded and showed my hand - unfortunately the guy to my left had calledwe agreed to play the hand anywaythe flop was 10 high with two diamondsSo I decided to shove for about 5K which was probably double the potHe had Q 10 of spades and eventually calledI turned my flushIn a real tourney would my hand have been declared dead? areyawell 0
I thought what happens is that your cards remain turned over, the other player can bet into you but you can only call or fold. Maybe different for other tournaments. If theres more than two in the hand your hand is folded
MaxStPolish 4
Yeah, i thought if this hand already reached heads' up that this would be okay. I'm not much a live players though so i could be wrong.
DemonDonk 0
I think Theo Tran (douchebag btw) did this at this years WSOP. Before the flop was dealt he exposed his hand of A5 and they continued the hand and the flop came A5x and the other guy just open folded.I think he got a penalty.
Balloon guy 158
My weekly game had an interesting situation.Bobby is an old guy who plays a pretty much ABC poker, but he can probably be called a calling station. This new guy to the game is killing. We have this goofy game with $.25/$.50 blinds, $2 max bet pre-flop and post flop, $3 max bet Turn and River.New Guy cashes out $40 to reduce his stack, still had $60+ in front so I didn't think anything of it. This game is held in a Cigar store and the owner asked that no money be seen on the table since he is scared of a raid ( explained to him many times to no avail )New guy then lets some guy buy chips form him a couple times, he is in 1 seat and I am in 10 seat so I can't see too close.Hand comes about with Bobby raising, he calls. Flop K8x Bobby bets $2 new guy calls.Turn is K, Bobby bets $3 new guy has $4 in front of him so he calls the bet and says "I just have $1 left, but it probably saved you money" As he flips over 88. Bobby flips over KK as I start to say that he isn't all in.The dealer looks at me, knowing that this guy went south and Bobby is due a lot more money, but the new guy is being magnanimous talking about how he thought he was doing Bobby a favor by going all in and what a good hand that Bobby had etc. Then he says since there is only 30 minutes till we quit he is going to leave. The way it played out wasn't not an angle shoot ( if you had 88 and flopped a set and turned a full house wouldn't you want to get as much money as possible into the pot? ) He just didn't understand the Going South rule and Bobby, who has been playing in this game for 4 years has no excuse. So I didn't make a big deal about it but I will definitely go over the rule with him next time.
