No poker. There are 2 casinos in/around Nassau (Atlantis on Paradise Island and Crystal Palace in Cable Beach) and neither one has poker. As of last year, the Crystal Palace casino was only open from 12:00 P.m. to 5:00 AM during the week. and Atlantis during the week at those times it was dead. Only a few people playing slots and 1 table of each game going. Atlantis casino is actually small compared to a lot of other casinos I have been to, but the setup is really nice/extravagant.

There is not enough gamblers that go there to make it worth while. Most of the gamblers are the typical family that goes to the Bahamas for vacation, and punt off $100 just to say they did it. It is illegal for the locals to be in the casino, unless they work there. Personally I think they should put in one of those electronic tables like they have on cruise ships. No overhead other than the cost of the machine and the power to run it. They just host it for the increase in tourism.

Holy God in heaven no cash games at the Atlantis... what are they thinking. That is kind of weird. You'd think even if they don't have poker on a regular basis that they'd run cash games during the PCA.Now if I can just manage to get past Step 1, lol.

If the main event buy-in is $10,000+300 why does the tournament lobby on PS say $14,778? If its for additional cash for travel and room, why do the prize packages award an entry ($14,778) + $1,002?

The purpose of these seminars is to teach women poker players how to manage the emotional roller coaster of being a poker player. Participants will meet on the beach and be taken through a series of exercises to strengthen one's mindset in preparation for tournament play. Beth's concepts teach players how to get in touch with certain characteristics within themselves that sabotage their game. These no-pressure sessions are designed for women players to relax and clear their heads. Participants need only show up in comfortable beach attire. All participants will receive an Eat Play Love goody bag upon completion of their session.January 13th Welcome Reception for all PokerStars playersWe will be holding a special welcome reception for all PokerStars players at the Dragon's Patio on January 13th between 8pm - 9pm.I hope this emails has clarified matters for you and if you have any further questions, please do not hesitate to contact me again.See you at the PCA!Thanks,Natalie BPokerStars Women Events Manager

http://www.pokerstarsblog.com/2010/ten-pla...d-s-076147.htmlNovember 14 satelliteThe third final on November 14th was the largest with 70 players and four packages at stake. By the time the event was five-handed, two players were significantly shorter stacked than the rest of the field, vivavla (about 16,000 chips) and courtiebee (about 14,000 chips). In the critical hand, goodberry on the button limped, vivavla completed her small blind and the big blind, rcgs59 checked. The flop came K-6-Q rainbow.Vivavla bet out, rcgs59 folded and goodberry raised all in. Vivavla made the call with K-9 and saw some bad news; goodberry had K-Q for top two. Runner-runner was not to be and the other short stack got to pop the champagne. Rose Christine G. "Rcgs59" from Hamilton, Canada, Courtney Gee "courtiebee" from Surrey, Canada, goodberry from Bryn Mawr, USA and vonki from Borlange, Sweden all earned packages.

On a serious Note, I am not sleeping much because I can't wait for this event. Also nervous, so going to put in some live games before I go. Fluff and I went over lots of live strategy stuff as well. Plus I have been watching video's on some of the top female players. My simple goal is to cash 1st, then play my heart out to win :)thx for the support everyone I will post my stack size at break between levels on twitter and facebook. gl to anyone else who will be playing any of the events there.
