SBriand 4
I'm anticipating Jimmy Howard dominance.I am anticipating sophomore slump. But I hope your predictions come through. Although we still need to play the pens one more time and they might try and take another Wing out.
strategy 4
the blues need like, four people to have made huge strides in their development over the summer to have a chance at the playoffs. so, I think you're bang-on, even though they finally have a real goalie. He would have done wonders for all the youngsters.

GWCGWC 83
I predict The Melrose Line podcast on espn.com to have a new show posted every 13 days on average for this season and for 96% of those shows to suck. I predict Serge will not get action on his +10 standings bet between the Flames and the Leafs.

Untilted 158
I know this might sound like a homer talking but I believe a lot of people are selling the Rangers short.Assuming Gaborik stays healthy and that is an if, they got a core group of young guys that I think are ready to blossom. Stepan looks unreal in camp. If they make the decision to bury Redden in the minors, the D looks great. Mcdonugh looks real good.I just have a feeling about this one. Mcdonugh looks real good.I just have a feeling about this one.I actually have a good feeling about the Rangers too. Agree they need to bury Redden, mostly to set a tone for the young players. With a young, talented D playing hard and Lunqvist, I can see them winning more than their share of games. I don't think they win more than one playoff series (if that), but to be in contention for second in their division, in the end finishing third by 3 points or less after the Devils move ahead late in the season. Philly to win it by 9 points.

It looks pretty weak right now, but if the new guys and rookies show up to play, that'll change everything.

Fubar The Sperm 1
Eastern Conference1. Washington Capitals - The division is still weak.2. New Jersey Devils - Great offensive depth and Marty is always solid.3. Boston Bruins - Better offensive depth and should rebound.4. Philadelphia Flyers - Goalies are still questionable but everything else is solid.5. Pittsburgh Penguins - Crosby and Malkin will cary them.6. Ottawa Senators - Goaltending can't be worse, many of the top 6 underperformed and they still managed to place 5 last year.7. Buffalo Sabres - Miller won't duplicate last year and not enough depth, in my mind, to win the division again.8. New York Rangers - Will be able to squeek in this year.9. Montreal Canadians - Although I don't thibk Price is a bust I don't think he will be good enough to get them in this year.10. Tampa Bay Lightning - Will be close but goalies and defence not strong enough.11. Toronto Maple Leafs - Not enough offence.12. Carolina Hurricanes - Ward and Stall just not enough.13. Atlanta Thrashers - Taking half of Chicago's roster won't do much.14. New York Islanders - Still a bad team.15. Florida Panthers - Besides Vokun they don't have much.Western Conference1. Vancouver Canucks - The division isn't as strong as it once was. Will start slow though I think but feed off the division.2. San Jose Sharks - Still a good team.3. Detroit Red Wings - W/O major injuries will win the division.4. Chicago Black Hawks - A step back since their depth took a hit.5. Los Angeles Kings - Will just fall short of the division.6. Phoenix Coyotes - Will be a little worse then last year.7. St. Louis Blues - Halak will help them get back to the playoffs.8. Colorado Avalanche - Just squeeks in again.9. Nashville Predators - Not enough depth.10. Calgary Flames - No one can score.11. Dallas Stars - Still not good enough.12. Anaheim Ducks - No defence.13. Minnesota Wild - Will be on the wrong end of too many 1 goal games.14. Columbus Blue Jackets - Mason will be better but they won't score enough.15. Edmonton Oilers - Will be fun to watch but too young and will give up lots of goals.
