Azzy666 0
I think a much better solution would be to only allow entries for people who registered before the WSOP pool was announced. It doesn't matter how many times you've posted, it should matter when you registered. As dmonkeypoker pointed out, we shouldn't be rewarding people who have 120 posts, 115 of which were flames. rwood 0
they should at least be registered for like 3 or 4 months then....suck a dick kdogg, thats a real original name
ford0067 0
I asked this in the other thread with no response. I think maybe the 500 limit was lifted. I could swear it was in the Rules thread and it doesn't seem to be there anymore. I think maybe it got edited out. Read the post in the rules thread They reference the 500 limit but it isn't in the OP anymore.

Stanimal 0
How do you look up player information on party poker??
Berak 0
I think you are all just a bunch of whiners looking for an angle to help your chances. So what some of us didn't register (even though we may have been reading here for months) until there was a good reason to. I've been playing poker for about 2 years but really just here and there and would like to improve my game. I really don't feel qualified to offer advice to others who seem to be doing better than me.I think Daniel knew what he was doing and wanted to get more members and urge some lurkers into registering, so what? If he wanted to limit it to something other than the first 500 registrants I'm sure he would have stated such in his offer. Quit making up your silly rules that justify why you should be in the running and others shouldn't, it's not up to you. Just be greatful a poker great like Daniel is being generous enough to donate $10K for nothing much more than 'cause he wants to.What I think would be the coolest story ever would be for the player who wins it to end up heads up in the tourney against Daniel, or even better yet, against Daniel's "arch enemy" Barry. That would make for some great drama ...
RMac 0
Here's a newbie who sympathizes with the vets. I think I would be pissed too if it were me. But the more I think about it, the more I ask: would I have any right to be pissed? The challenge was open to the first 500 registered FCPers. The vets had just as much of a chance as the newbies. You said you hoped that a vet won the pool, but what if it was one of the jacka$$es who have 238 posts saying how they're making 80K a year playin 2-3 hrs a day while goin to law school and curing cancer at the same time? Would you rather have them win than a newbie who's just gettin involved, but has and will continue to make good posts? Just askin.
hockeyeh 0
i have been here for just as long as lots of the regular posters and am reading on here 4 to 5 times a day so i dont think that would be fair just because i dont have 100 posts although i did not sign up for the wsop pool because it was already full

As any player can be selected by any number of entrants, in what way does a bunch of newbies signing up affect you? If you select the players who perform best at the WSOP, you'll win, simple as.And yes I DID only sign up because I wanted to enter the pool. Ive read this for a couple of months now for various tips and strategy advice, but have never felt the need to post. (mainly because I know I'll just get flamed by you bunch of elitist "We've been here the longest so we should get priority" pricks.Imagine Phil Ivey, or someone wanted to enter the pool, and he signed up specially for it, what are you gonna say? "f-u-c-k off n00b!"?Get a life, and chill out - its just a game...
Knail 0
OR MAYBE!!!!!! we should limit the entries to those who have visted this site for the past 2 or more years instead of the "COOL POSTERS" who joined this site when it was revamped and started posting 10,000 times a day.How about we do that? that sounds alot of better to me, since i never post but have been coming to this site for the past 2 years. LongOdds 0
I disagree wholeheartedly.I have been lurking on this site for a very long time (read the forums daily). Just because I never felt the urge to register or post before should not exclude me from the WSOP Pool. I believe Daniel is an understanding person and will not give in to the few of you who are pushing for these retroactive changes simply to increase your odds of winning (I can't fault you for trying, but really, I think an open door policy is best. What was announced originally should be how it remains, at least for this years WSOP Pool.)Not everyone that joins now and begins to post now is a newcomer to the poker scene (i.e., a convert because of the Moneymaker or Raymer WSOPs or the WPT). Personally, I have been following closely since Noel Furlong won the big one in 99.
Ridik 0
well if you limited it to people with 100 posts wont those damn newbies (hmmm hmmm hmmm) just post ridiculous amounts of crap just to pad their numbers?
ajs510 122
I think the fact that there is no "Number of Entries" cap stated anywhere in the posted rules is kinda telling. Hopefully it's already been noticed how popular this whole thing is going to be and measures will be taken. So sayeth Entry #540...
