Mills 0
I just saw a clip of Luke Scwartz pulling off a 5 bet bluff in the poker priemer league... it's this video here: Obviously this thinking is way beyond me... can anybody help? I mean, when a guy 4 bets, aren't AA KK QQ AK just as much in his range as any sort of bluff? Even if you have history with the player, don't most compitent players 4 bet these types of hands pretty often?I guess my question is, are these plays +EV, even with player history? custom36 5
It's not +EV and you probably shouldn't do it. It seems to be more of a pro vs pro type of play. But, that's all opinion and not based on any kind of facts or math. So, grain of salt...

Even if you have history with the player, don't most compitent players 4 bet these types of hands pretty often?therefore isn't the 5-bet only AA? if any x-bet "can only be" a super-limited range, then it is also a great place to bluff. and if it is a great place to bluff, then the x+1 is also a bluffing spot because the range is "supposed to be" even narrower. looshle 6
Yev is isolating Vanessa there extremely light and KJ near the top 15-20% of his range. This means Luke can 3 bet on the button with a huge range because Yev is going to be out of position and since the effective stacks to pot ratio are getting smaller he is unlikely to be flat called. Yev realizes this (that Luke can have any 2 in this position) so correctly 4 bets. Unfortunately I think he took too long and Luke went 1 level higher and stuck it in.
