Roll the Bones 74
Just FYI this article is more than 10 years old.Yeah, but I saw something on it the other day on Discovery so I didn't realize the article was that old. It was kind of interesting though. Have youhad any luck or knowledge of of us finding the God center of our brain that evolved as a coping mechanism for dealing with the unknown? It was kind of interesting though. Have youhad any luck or knowledge of of us finding the God center of our brain that evolved as a coping mechanism for dealing with the unknown?I mean, I think Persinger is kinda quacky. But certain kinds of unusual brain activity are known to be associated with reports of religious experience (e.g. temporal lobe epilepsy). This is probably less a coping mechanism for dealing with the unknown than it is an experience which transcends normal categories of knowledge. It's an experience of the unknown, because your representation of knowledge is affected.
