Why Are More And More People Convinced Obama Is A Muslim?

Recommended Posts

So a poll was done in July by the Pew Research that shows that more people than ever think Obama is a closet muslim, and not the Christian he claims to be.Listening to some commentators about this presented some interesting notions.1. Obama has never really gone out of his way to mention his faith, in fact, he never seems to go to church. In fact last Christmas, he skipped church completely.2. When he did mention Christians in an 'off mike' comment, he called them 'bitter clingers, who cling to their guns and Bible'3. He attended a church with Rev Wright, where he never 'heard' the Rev. bad talk America. Either he never went, never listened, or never really went to this church. The question becomes, how much of the blame for people thinking Obama is a muslim lies on the shoulders of Obama himself?

0.0%You know who else rarely went to Church? Ronald Reagan. Also, we have a very different view of what makes something an "interesting" notion. #1 is not even true since because he has a funny name he has had to go out of his way to mention his faith numerous times. #2 was about conservatives, not Christians. #3 is nebulous.....I don't listen when I go to temple really. It's boring. Guess I have to prove I am a Jew!

I am not sure his religion matters. I doubt he is any more Muslim then Christian. IMO he is so arrogant that he figures he is God…

Not quite sure how you can reference the bible and not be talking about Christians… Care to educate us on that? If he said terrorists were clinging to their pipe bombs and the Koran would he be referring to Muslims?

Um, he was talking about specific Christians. You do realize a majority of Democrats are Christian by a wide margin, right?

Yes, specifically conservative Christian Republicans. That was pretty obviously his point. And I think the Chrisitan Democrats got the memo considering he won the election after making that remark.

So as long as you win, what you say is right and allowable?Does that apply to things you say after you've won too?I mean when Clinton told Kennedy that Obama would have been getting them coffee a couple years ago, he gets a pass for that too, because it's true, and Bill won 2 elections right?

No, that was obviously me referencing that Christian Dems did not take it personally, word twister.I think what he said was a political gaffe, no doubt. I think there is definitely some truth to it.....after Obama was elected there was a RUN on ammunition to the point there was a shortage. Sounds like people clinging to guns to me.Bill Clinton gets a pass because he is awesome.

BG, stop being a troll. Obama is an atheist who lies about being a Christian, and you damn well know it.
This I could buy.Again, Reagan avoided church like the plague. Who cares? The president has better things to do frankly.

Although there are some who blame Obama, the gun owners I know blame the government as a whole, and the cost of ammunition went up considerably as Obama took office.Just as Clinton got the full credit for the entire internet and its' economic boon, Obama gets the credit for the price of ammunition going up, and the rules changing to restrict ammunition.I'm not a gun nut so I don't know the details, just the general story about this stuff.

I mean, it's really about people's fear of the government. Obama has not mentioned gun control even in passing. You can't blame Obama just because people assumed he was coming after the guns. Well you can, but it won't be accurate.

I didn't say I did, I said some gun nuts do for the same reason you guys blame Bush for Katrina, not because of facts or reason, but because of irrational hate.

So... He doesn't mention faith, criticizes believing in the Bible, and didn't go to Church.Therefore... Muslum...?Try again.

Christian democrat? Gotta be at least a little oxymorony going on there. At least with the pro abort ones.
65-70% of the country is Christian, 53-55% of the country is pro-choice. You do the math. Not only are there tons of Christian Democrats but there are even pro-choice Christians. AHHHHH!!!!!

My question is who cares? I had no idea it was a bad thing to be a Muslim. If Muslims should be accepted, who better than the president to bring that new dawn in? I don't get he angst in the media about this.

No, you are seeing the shallow obvious story and missing the real story.Obama is the product of the media. We were told he was the newest bestest thing ever, he was clean and articulate. He was so smart, so right for this job.And now the news is shocked that the public no longer buys their baloney. In fact, they are over-reacting to the whole pre-packaged image of Obama. The emperor has no clothes. The fact that the news paid big bucks to get a poll about Obama's religion shows you that they are scared.
